Matthew 11: 11- 15

John prepared the way. He was the precursor. The one who, in this season of Advent, goes before God announcing and proclaiming the message of forgiveness and reconciliation. John fulfilled his mission with the certainty that God had wanted it that way.

Today, we are the precursors of these times. Men and women called to show the path that God has prepared for everyone. We must be sure of the gift we have in our hands, a gift that has to bear witness of faith to others. What good is it for us to be followers of Christ if we do not show his love? What good is it for us to say that we have faith in God if we do not cling to it at all times?

We have to be the first to show the love of God that lives in us. The first to forgive, serve, open our hands to those who need it. Be the first to change attitudes and ask for forgiveness; seek reconciliation.

Let us hear what God tells us. Let us prepare to listen to his word. Let us seek new paths of evangelization. Let us be fair and always ask for God’s wisdom in each of our actions.

 

Prayer: Lord, may we always follow in your footsteps and act in mercy, love and justice with others, just as you do with me. Amen.

SEAMOS RESPONSABLES

Mateo 11: 11- 15

El que tenga oídos que oiga.

Mateo 11:15

Juan preparó el camino. Fue el precursor. El que va en este tiempo de Adviento delante de Dios anunciando y proclamando el mensaje de perdón y reconciliación. Juan cumplió su misión con la certeza de que Dios así lo había querido.

Hoy, somos los precursores de estos tiempos. Hombres y mujeres llamados a mostrar el camino que Dios tiene preparado para todos. Debemos estar seguros del don que tenemos en nuestras manos. Un don que tiene que dar testimonio de fe hacia los demás l,De qué nos sirve ser seguidores de Cristo si no mostramos su amor? l,De qué nos sirve decir que tenemos fe en Dios si no nos aferramos a ella en todo momento?

Tenemos que ser los primeros en mostrar el amor de Dios que habita en nosotros. Los primeros en perdonar, servir, abrir nuestras manos para quien lo necesita. Ser los primeros en cambiar actitudes y pedir perdón; buscar reconciliación.

Oigamos lo que Dios nos dice. Dispongámonos a escuchar su Palabra. Busquemos nuevos caminos de evangelización. Seamos justos y pidamos siempre la sabiduría de Dios en cada una de nuestras actuaciones.

 

Oración: Señor, que siempre pueda seguir tus pasos y actuar en misericordia, amor y justicia con los demás, así como tú lo haces conmigo. Amén.
