MARY, THE BEARER OF MOTHER OF GOD

Luke 1: 26-38

My soul magnifies the Lord,

Luke 1:46a (NRSV)

This text gives us a window into the biblical character of Mary of Nazareth, an admirable young woman. Mary was no exception, and neither were we. Our challenge is to have the faith to submit our will to His and accept their calls in faith.

From Mary we learn to surrender to God's will, to have that inner silence that allows us to be in tune with the Lord even in the midst of our daily activities. Mary is my luminous model, especially because of her simple and filial way of dealing with God the Father.

We can all be Mary, but we have to be willing to fulfill the role for which we are chosen.

Thank you, Lord, that today there are women like Mary who help us, with their yes to you, to grow in faith.

 

Prayer: Eternal God, I am the Mary of these times. Send your angel with the good news, that I may fulfill the role for which I was chosen. Amen.

MARÍA, PORTADORA O MADRE DE DIOS

Mi alma alaba la grandeza del señor.

Lucas 1: 46

Este texto nos brinda una ventana para hablar sobre el personaje biblico de Maria de Nazaret, una joven admirable. Maria no era una excepción ni nosotros tampoco. Nuestro desafio es tener la fe para someter nuestra voluntad a la de Él y aceptar sus llamados con fe.

De Maria aprendemos a rendirnos a la voluntad de Dios, a tener ese silencio interior que nos permite estar en sintonia con el Señor aún en medio de nuestras actividades cotidianas. Maria es mi modelo luminoso especialmente por su manera sencilla y filial de tratar con Dios Padre.

Todos podemos ser Maria, pero tenemos que estar dispuestas a cumplir el rol para lo que seamos escogidas.

Gracias Señor porque hoy hay mujeres como Maria que nos ayudan, con su si a ti, a crecer en fe.

 

Oración: Dios eterno, soy la Maria de estos tiempos. Envia tu ángel con la buena nueva, que cumpliré el rol para lo que fui escogida. Amén.
