GOD GLADDENS OUR HEARTS

2 Samuel 7: 1-5

Nathan replied to the King, “Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the Lord is with you.”

2 Samuel 7:3 (NIV)

There are those who say that the heart is an organ of sensitivity, where the feelings, desires and emotions experienced by human beings come together. Therefore, the Word of God says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. This is a piece of advice for all God’s people: we should overflow our hearts with good things, to live and to share.

Faith and trust in God is the sustenance for every Christian in the face of daily life. Sometimes circumstances are so “hard” that we doubt God’s permanence at our side. How good it is to hear the gratifying words of someone who offers encouragement and shows you the way to continue: “You can do it…God is with you”: “God is in your heart”!

God has sent Jesus, His Beloved Son, to brighten our days and bring rest in our nights, so that our lives may have meaning! This is God’s Christmas gift to us – accept it and be thankful! Rejoice with the psalmist! Come and delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart!

Prayer: Dearest Heavenly Father, we come to ask You to continue to inspire our hearts to be consistent with the message of Your words of love. Thank you for the gift, Your Son. We long for you to feel every beat of our hearts and heal their wounds. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

DIOS ALEGRA NUESTROS CORAZONES

2 Samuel 7: 1-5

Y Natán dijo al rey: Anda, y haz todo lo que está en tu corazón, porque Jehová está contigo.

2 Samuel 7:3

Hay quienes dicen que el corazón es el órgano de la sensibilidad, donde se juntan los sentimientos, los deseos y las emociones que experimentan los seres humanos. Por eso, la Palabra de Dios refiere que de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca. Es un consejo para todo el pueblo de Dios: debemos rebosar nuestros corazones de buenas cosas, para vivir y compartir.

La fe y la confianza en Dios es el sustento para todo cristiano/a ante los embates de la vida cotidiana. A veces son tan “duras” las circunstancias que dudamos de la permanencia de Dios a nuestro lado. ¡Qué bueno es escuchar las gratificantes palabras de alguien que ofrezca aliento y te muestre el camino para continuar: “Tú puedes...Dios está contigo”; “Dios está en tu corazón”!

Dios ha enviado a Jesús, su Hijo Amado, para alegrar nuestros días y traer descanso en nuestras noches. ¡Para que nuestra vida tenga sentido! Este es el regalo de Navidad que Dios tiene para nosotros. ¡Acéptalo y agradece! ¡Alégrate con el salmista: ¡Ven y deléitate en el Señor, y él te concederá las peticiones de tu corazón!

Oración: Amantísimo Padre Celestial, venimos a pedirte que continúes sensibilizando nuestros corazones para ser coherente con el mensaje de tus palabras de amor. Gracias por el regalo, Tu Hijo. Anhelamos que sientas cada latir de nuestros corazones y puedas sanar sus heridas. En el nombre de Cristo Jesús, Amén.
