JESUS SATISFIES HUNGER

Matthew 15:29-37

Today’s Gospel shows us a caring Jesus who is not indifferent to the needs of the poor, the sick, the despised and the sinners who come to him.

Solidarity is a value that helps us to be aware of the needs of others, it is sharing both the material and the sentimental, it is humble and unconditional service to others, one of the manifestations of love that leads the Christian to merge or identify with his neighbor.

Solidarity is the kind of love that Jesus showed and that he called us to share with one another.

Jesus reaches out to people who are physically and spiritually hungry. But one type of hunger is even more common: spiritual emptiness and insecurity. Jesus is the Shepherd who provides for all our needs. Come to Him, only He can satisfy.

 

Prayer: Lord, make us instruments of solidarity. Give us years of eating each day as your Spirit gives us strength to walk in your ways. Amen.

JESÚS SATISFACE EL HAMBRE

Mateo 15:29-37

Todos comieron hasta quedar satisfechos.

El Evangelio de hoy nos muestra a un Jesús solidario que no es indiferente a las necesidades de los pobres, enfermos, despreciados y pecadores que acuden a Él.

La solidaridad es un valor que nos ayuda a ser conscientes de las necesidades de los otros, es compartir tanto lo material como lo sentimental, es el servicio humilde e incondicional a los demás, una de las manifestaciones del amor que lleva al cristiano a fundirse o identificarse con el prójimo.

La solidaridad es el tipo de amor que Jesús mostró y que nos llamó a compartir los unos con los otros.

Jesús se acerca a las personas que están fisica y espiritualmente hambrientas. Pero un tipo de hambre es aún más común: vacio espiritual e inseguridad. Jesús es el Pastor que provee para todas nuestras necesidades. Ven a Él, solo Él puede satisfacer.

 

Oración: Señor, haznos instrumentos de solidaridad. Danos de comer cada dia a medida que tu Espiritu nos da fuerza para andar en tus caminos. Amén.
