WE ARE NOT BETTER

Luke 3: 4-6

And all people will see God’s salvation.

Luke 3: 6 (NIV)

We have all been judges at some point, quick to condemn wrongdoing according to our own standards and unable to see the light in others, focusing instead on their flaws.

The Bible reminds us repeatedly that God is the only judge and that he forgives us whenever we are truly repentant. That is why, instead of judging, we should be more compassionate, seeking ways to help and understand those whom everyone else turns their back on, perhaps because they are searching everywhere for support they cannot find and are slowly losing hope.

Let us remember that Jesus was not afraid to approach, speak to, and teach sinners, and that many, after this encounter, converted to the ways of the Lord. However, those who judged them continued to sin.

The good news is that we will all see God’s salvation in our lives, so let us not consider ourselves superior to any human being for any reason. On the contrary, let us unite and reconcile in an embrace of love, friendship, and hope. It is never too late for this.

Prayer: Thank you, God, for illuminating my path with your word. Help me to forgive as you forgive me when I do wrong, and not to judge anyone because only you know their struggles and what is in their hearts. Amen.

No somos mejores.

Lucas 3: 4-6

Todo el mundo verá la salvación que Dios envía.

Lucas 3: 6

Todos en algún momento hemos sido jueces, capaces de sancionar lo malo según nuestro criterio e incapaces de ver la luz de las personas por resaltar sus defectos.

La Biblia en varias ocasiones nos recuerda que Dios es el único juez y que siempre que estemos arrepentidos de corazón Él nos perdona. Es por eso que en lugar de juzgar, debemos ser más sensibles, buscar la forma de ayudar y de entender a quien todos dan la espalda, porque quizás está buscando un apoyo en todas partes que no encuentra y pierde poco a poco la esperanza.

Recordemos que Jesús no tenía miedo de acercarse, hablar y enseñar a los pecadores y que muchos después de ese acercamiento se convertían a los caminos del Señor, sin embargo quienes los juzgaban seguían pecando.

La buena noticia es que todos veremos la salvación de Dios en nuestras vidas, así que no nos creamos superiores a ningún ser humano por cualquier motivo, al contrario unifiquémonos y reconciliémonos en un abrazo de amor, amistad y esperanza, nunca es tarde para esto.

Oración: Gracias Dios por alumbrar mis caminos con tu palabra. Ayúdame a perdonar como tú a mí cuando hago mal, y a no juzgar a nadie porque solo tú conoces sus batallas y lo que hay en su corazón. Amén.
