CALLED TO SHARE

Acts 4:32-37

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

This biblical passage may seem utopian, impossible to attain, or perhaps like the ending of a novel, one with a harmonious and happy conclusion.

Conversely, the reality of daily life in these times presents us with a narrative of storms, one lacking a clear, hopeful ending that continues to challenge our good will.

As believers, we are called to live within the love of God. It is a love that, as the text so aptly expresses, enables us to place everything we possess at the service of those around us.

Amidst difficulties, the word of God invites us to share what we have. These are times to firmly embrace solidarity and the spirit of humanity, qualities that strengthen us in times of crisis and to find joy in thinking collectively, striving always for the common good.

May we be that community of believers who are courageous and just in their actions, true to the call to serve and stand alongside those in greatest need. May we joyfully cherish the grace that God bestows upon us whenever we act for the well-being of others.

Prayer: Lord, instill within us your goodness and the spirit of unity that calls us to share both who we are and what we have. Amen.

LLAMADOS A COMPARTIR

Hechos 4:32-37

Todos los creyentes eran de un solo sentir y pensar. Nadie consideraba como suyas ninguna de sus posesiones, sino que las compartían.

Hechos 4:32

Este pasaje bíblico puede parecer utópico, imposible de alcanzar o quizás el final de una novela con un cierre armónico y feliz.

Por otro lado, el pasaje de la vida diaria en estos tiempos nos hace ver una novela de tormentas y sin un final claro y esperanzador que continúa desafiando la buena voluntad.

Como creyentes estamos llamados a vivir en el amor de Dios. Ese amor que como bien expresa el texto, hace que todo lo que tengamos pueda estar al servicio de quienes nos rodean.

En medio de las dificultades, la Palabra de Dios nos invita a compartir lo que tenemos. Son tiempos para abrazar fuertemente la solidaridad y el espíritu de humanidad que fortalece en tiempo de crisis y sentirnos regocijados cuando pensamos en colectivo, apostando por el bien de todos.

Que podamos ser esa comunidad de creyentes valientes y justos en nuestro accionar. Coherentes con el llamado a servir y acompañar a quienes más lo necesita. Atesorar con gozo la Gracia que Dios nos da cuando actuamos por el bien de los demás.

Oración: Señor, pon en nosotros tu bondad y el espíritu de unidad que nos invita a compartir lo que somos y tenemos. Amén.
