BENEATH THE LIGHT OF JESUS

John 3:16-21

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

John 3:21 (NIV)

God has given us his only begotten Son. With him, we have everything. But if we are far from him, everything becomes vain, condemned, dark, and meaningless. Jesus has entered our lives to transform our darkness into light, that light which makes everything clear and transparent, filled with honesty, love, and the freedom to walk without fear.

Conversely, when we succumb to our own mediocrity and live amidst lies, deceptions, and insecurities, we choose instead to dwell in a miserable, vicious cycle, falsely believing that through it we can attain the well-being of the life God offers us through his Son, Jesus. We must understand that accepting the power of God, the companionship of Jesus, and the strength of His Holy Spirit is the only path to the light.

Let us not miss the opportunity to believe in God at all times, even in the midst of difficulties. Everything around us seems to point toward chaos; yet with God, everything is different. Let us always seek the light, salvation, and the faith that is strengthened through prayer; then we will clearly see the light of Jesus shining in our lives.

Prayer: Our Father, I desire to follow your light, to do your will, and to be obedient to your Word. Amen.

BAJO LA LUZ DE JESÚS

Juan 3:16-21

El que practica la verdad se acerca a la luz para que se vea claramente que ha hechos sus obras en obediencia a Dios.

Juan 3:21

Dios nos ha entregado a su Hijo Unigénito. Con Él lo tenemos todo. Pero si estamos lejos de Él todo se vuelve vano, condenado, oscuro y sin sentido. Jesús ha llegado a nuestras vidas para transformar nuestras tinieblas en luz. Esa luz que hace que todo sea claro y transparente con honestidad, amor y con la libertad de andar sin temores.

Todo lo contrario, cuando sucumbimos a nuestras mediocridades y vivimos entre mentiras, trampas e inseguridades que nos hacen apostar por vivir en el círculo vicioso y miserable con el que creemos que podamos alcanzar el bienestar de la vida que Dios nos ofrece a través de su Hijo Jesús. Debemos entender que aceptar el poder de Dios, la compañía de Jesús y la fuerza de su Espíritu Santo es el único camino a la luz.

No perdamos la oportunidad de creer en Dios en todo tiempo, aún en medio de las dificultades. Todo lo que nos rodea apunta al caos, pero con Dios, todo es diferente. Busquemos siempre la luz, la salvación y la fe que en oración se fortalece y veremos claramente la luz de Jesús en nuestras vidas.

Oración: Padre nuestro, quiero seguir tu luz, hacer tu voluntad y ser obediente a tu Palabra. Amén.
