TO BE BLESSED

John 13:16-29

“Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

John 13:17 (NIV)

Within any human group, there are differences in power, responsibilities, and roles. The same is true within churches. These words of Jesus come immediately after he has washed the feet of his disciples.

The Lord taught by example and said to them, “no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him”.

His example is clear: in the Kingdom there is no distinction, regardless of our place in the Church, in our community, or in our lives. Rivalries and negative desires have no place in those of us who have been born again of the Water and the Spirit. God has given us the right to be called His children.

Let us place our hope in Him, giving Him the best of our gifts. Let us be joyful, united in faith, love, and brotherhood. God is our Father; we are one family in Him.

Prayer: Just and loving God, thank you for making us one people, one family, that works and prays together as sisters and brothers. Thank you for the joy of knowing You. In Jesus, Amen.

PARA SER DICHOSOS

JUAN 13: 16-29

“Si entendemos estas cosas y las ponen en práctica, serán dichosos”.

Juan 13: 17

En cualquier grupo humano, hay diferencias de poder, de trabajos y de roles y en las iglesias sucede igual.  Estas palabras de Jesús, son inmediatamente después de haber lavado los pies a sus discípulos.

El Señor enseñó con el ejemplo y les dice, el siervo no es más que su señor y el enviado no es más que el que lo envió.

Su ejemplo es claro, en el Reino no hay distinción, sin importar qué lugar ocupamos en la Iglesia, en nuestro entorno, en nuestra vida.  Las rivalidades y deseos negativos no caben en los que hemos nacido de nuevo del Agua y del Espíritu. Dios nos ha dado el derecho de ser llamados hijos suyos.

Pongamos nuestra esperanza en Él, demos lo mejor de nuestros dones. Seamos dichosos, iguales en fe, amor y hermandad. Dios es nuestro Padre, somos una familia en Él.

Oración: Dios Justo y amoroso, gracias porque hiciste de nosotros un pueblo, una familia, que trabaja y ora como hermanos y hermanas. Gracias por la dicha de conocerte. En Jesús, Amén.
