HE LIVES

Luke 24: 35-48

…While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

Luke 24:36 (NIV)

In this passage, Jesus appears to the disciples following his resurrection. They were both frightened and astonished, for they believed he was a spirit; yet, through his words and actions, he demonstrated to them that the opposite was true.

Often, we ourselves have been like the disciples. We have doubted his presence and felt afraid in its midst. Let us cease doubting God and all that bears witness to his greatness—and to the faith he places in his people. Let us remember all that he has done for us and with us—all that we have built together. Let us receive with joy and gratitude all that he offers us.

Let us rejoice, for he accompanies us and walks the path right beside us, bearing our sorrows and sadness, and offering us new joys and reasons to smile each day. For his presence in our lives is a source of happiness and hope.

Prayer: Lord, we give you thanks for being a part of our lives. We give thanks for those deeds that stand as a testament to your existence and your immense grace. Never abandon us on our journey; rather, always extend your hand to guide us along the way. Amen.

ESTA VIVO

Lucas 24: 35-48

… Todavía ellos, de gozo no lo creían, y estaban maravillados…

Lucas 24:36

En este texto Jesús se les aparece a los discípulos luego de la resurrección, ellos estaban tanto atemorizados como sorprendidos pues creían que él era el espíritu a lo que les demuestra con sus palabras y acciones lo contrario.

Muchas veces nosotros y nosotras hemos sido como los discípulos, hemos desconfiado de su presencia y nos hemos visto atemorizados ante ella. Dejemos de desconfiar de Dios y de todo aquello que demuestra su grandeza y la fe que tiene en su pueblo. Recordemos todo lo que ha hecho por y con nosotros, de todo lo que hemos construido juntos. Recibamos con gozo y gratitud aquello que Él nos ofrece.

Regocijémonos porque nos acompaña y transita el camino a nuestro lado, cargando nuestras penas y tristezas; brindándonos nuevas alegrías y cosas por las que sonreír cada día. Porque su existencia en nuestras vidas es razón de felicidad y esperanza.

Oración: Señor, damos gracias porque formas parte de nuestras vidas, damos gracias por aquellas acciones que son testimonio de tu existencia e inmensa gratitud; no abandones nunca nuestro caminar, más danos siempre la mano para transitar por el camino. Amén.
