THE POWER IS FROM GOD

GENESIS 1

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for thine

is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen

Matthew 6:13 (NIV)

Think about what is strength and power. How much of it surrounds us in this world.

Everything is a source of strength and power. Our body is nothing more than a storehouse for different types of energy from different foods.

But we cannot forget that God is the only real and true source of all power. He was, is, and will be the provider to all creation of the power that is constantly invested in it. He put power in inert matter that humans today can release and transform as atomic energy.

He put in living things the mysterious energy that constitutes life. And he gave that even more enigmatic energy that is called Spirit. And it is to that all-powerful God we pray to deliver us from evil, not by removing it but by giving us the power to overcome it.

Prayer: Almighty God, I recognize that you are the only living source of all power and I beseech you, Lord, to fill me with your Spirit so that I can be a powerful witness to you in faith and in works. Amen.

GÉNESIS  1

Y no nos metas en tentación, mas líbranos del mal, porque tuyo es el Reino, el Poder y la Gloria. Por todos los siglos.  Amén

Mateo 6:13

Piensa lo que es la fuerza, la energía. Cuánta fuerza se derrocha en el mundo, cuánta energía se invierte a nuestro alrededor.

Todo es fuente de fuerza y energía. Nuestro cuerpo no es más que un almacén de diversos tipos de energía proporcionada por diferentes clases de alimentos.

Pero no podemos olvidar que la fuente única y verdadera de todo poder es Dios. Él fue, es y será el que le suministra a toda la Creación la fuerza que en ella se invierte segundo a segundo. Él encerró en la materia inerte la fuerza que en ella está aprisionada y que el  ser humano de hoy puede  liberar y transformar en energía atómica.

Él condensó en los organismos vivos la energía misteriosa que constituye la vida. Y Él fue quien dio esa energía aún más enigmática que se llama Espíritu. Y es a ese Dios Todopoderoso a quien le oramos y adoramos para que nos libre del mal, no alejándonos del mal, sino dándonos poder suficiente para superarlo y vencerlo.

Oración: Oh Dios Todopoderoso, te reconozco como la única fuente viva de todo poder y te pido,  Señor, que me llenes de tu Espíritu para que yo sea un testigo tuyo poderoso en fe y en obra. Amén.
