GOD WILL SHOW US WHAT WE SHOULD DO
MATTHEW 10: 16-25
But when they arrest you, do not worry about what you will say or how to say it.
At that time it will be given what to say.
Matthew 10:19 (NIV)
Often when I have to speak in public I am seized with great anxiety and lack of confidence. Then this text gives me confidence and security that God will guide and lead me through every task. Obviously to gain confidence and overcome fear our ears must be attentive to God’s voice.
Let us recognize that our insecurity can paralyze us and prevent us from responding to God’s call to cooperate in his work. Let us turn every challenge over to God and move ahead convinced that his strength and wisdom will overcome our limitations.
If you’re facing a huge task: taking on a responsibility in church, speaking in public, defending research work, etc., put yourself in God’s hands.
If we go to his presence, he will give us the courage and love to face every challenge.
Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, because we know that you always listen to us and walk by our side. Help us to bear our burdens with sufficient confidence and courage. We pray that every day we have the time and the willingness to discuss our concerns with you. Amen.
