JESUS AND HIS MIRACLES
JOHN 9:10-25
But whoever lives by
the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has
done has been done through God.
John
3:21 NIV
The man
blind from birth met Jesus and his physical and spiritual eyes were opened. He
was filled with gratitude; and when he met those who censured him, he
experienced what may often have happened to you: he had to decide on a
response. He immediately replied: one
thing I know, once blind, now I see.
Many times,
we don’t have another answer to give to those who bother us and those who are
like those strict religious extremists, and we have to say the same thing as
that man: One thing I know, that now I see.
What sentence more eloquent could there be in the life of a human being?
The world
needs such testimonies that are not theological, erudite arguments. They tend
to give a psychological impact that Christ used in his preaching; miracles like
these never will go out of style and will serve as an example for all people in
their encounter with God.
Our Lord
has chosen you and me to be collaborators in this beautiful work, that although
privileged, is also full of responsibilities for those who have not yet had a
definitive and true encounter with Jesus.
Prayer:
Beloved God, you are the architect of each miracle in our lives. Allow
us to give witness to your love every moment.

El que
practica la verdad se acerca a la luz, para que se vea claramente que ha hecho
sus obras en obediencia a Dios
Juan 3:21
El ciego de nacimiento logra un encuentro con Jesús y son abiertos sus
ojos físicos y espirituales. Su emoción y gratitud se hacen realidad; y al
enfrentarse a aquellos que le censuran, sufre lo que tantas veces puede haberte
pasado a ti: se encuentra ante la
alternativa de escoger. Su respuesta no se hace esperar: una cosa sé, que, habiendo sido ciego, ahora veo.
Muchas veces no tenemos otra respuesta que dar a los que nos perturban y
que son como aquellos estrictos religiosos y extremistas; y tenemos que repetir
lo mismo que aquel hermano: una cosa sé,
que ahora veo. ¿Puede haber frase más elocuente en la vida de un ser humano?
El mundo necesita de tales testimonios que, aunque no sean argumentos
teológicos y eruditos, suelen dar el impacto sicológico que usara Cristo en sus
prédicas; milagros como estos nunca pasarán de moda y servirán de ejemplo para
todas las personas en el encuentro con Dios.
Nuestro Señor te ha escogido a ti y a mí para ser colaboradores en esta
hermosa labor, que, aunque privilegiada, está llena de responsabilidades por
aquellos que aún no han tenido un encuentro definitivo y verdadero con Jesús.
Oración:
Amado Dios, tú eres el artífice de cada milagro en nuestra vida, permite que en
cada momento podamos dar testimonio de tu amor. Amén.
