LET’S HEAR GOD’S
VOICE LUKE 11:1-10

What blessings are received by praying!
Through prayer we are given the means of resolving the problems and
difficulties of this world.
We know that prayer is subject to certain
established rules. They state that we should live in such a manner as to be
surrounded by an atmosphere favorable to praying. They require gratitude to God
for his mercies and that it is expressed joyfully. Every trace of egotism must
be removed from our hearts and our conversations. Prayer must be accompanied by
faith and love. Above all there must be a willingness to comply with God’s
will.
Why should we be dismayed when faced with the
discipline that prayer imposes? It is enough for us to remember how great the
heavenly grace of our loving God is who always hears and answers the prayer of
the humblest of God’s children. When nations like individuals give themselves
to prayer, they will surely see a new
heaven and a new earth.
Prayer: Eternal God, grant that through prayer, our yearning
spirit may receive light in darkness, peace in discord, strength in conflict,
forgiveness in wickedness and faith in anxiety.

OIGAMOS LA VOZ DE DIOS
LUCAS 11:1-10
...pedid, y se os dará…

¡Cuántas bendiciones se
reciben al orar! Mediante la oración se nos brindan los recursos para resolver
los problemas y dificultades de este mundo.
Sabemos que la oración
está sujeta a determinadas reglas. Pide que las personas vivan de tal manera
que hay siempre en torno de ellas una atmósfera favorable para la plegaria.
Requiere que haya gratitud hacia Dios por sus misericordias y que se le
exprese gozosamente. Hay que eliminar del corazón y de las conversaciones todo
vestigio de egoísmo. La oración tiene que ir acompañada de fe y amor. Ante
todo, tendrá que estar presente siempre la buena disposición para acatar la
voluntad de Dios.
¿Por qué desalentarnos
ante la disciplina que la oración impone? Bástenos recordar cuán inmensa es la
gracia divina de nuestro Dios amoroso, quien siempre escucha y contesta las
plegarias del más humilde de sus hijos. Cuando las naciones, como los
individuos, se entregan a la oración, contemplarán ciertamente un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva.
Oración: Dios
eterno, concédenos que, por medio de la oración, nuestro espíritu anhelante reciba
la luz en las tinieblas, paz en las discordias, fortaleza en los conflictos,
perdón en la maldad y fe en la zozobra. Amén.
