CALL TO ME

Jeremiah 33

Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.  (NIV)

Jeremiah 33: 3

At the start of the text it tells us that Jeremiah was imprisoned, but the Word of God wasn’t.  At that moment, God’s objective was to restore Jerusalem. Therefore, he says to him, “Call to me and I will answer you.” God assured him that he only needed to ask and God would act.

God is promising the same to us today. He is ready to respond to our prayers, but we must ask for his help. He will certainly take up our needs without our asking, but when we do ask, we recognize that only he is God, and that we, by our own efforts, can’t achieve all that is within his dominion.

When we ask, we should humble ourselves, throw aside our preoccupation and obey only him. We should open our hearts so he can enter and establish his Kingdom there, and live with certainty that by invoking him he will respond  and restore us  according to his will.

 

Prayer: Lord, whenever we call out to you, may we obtain the answer we need for our own good. Amen.

CLAMA A MÍ

Jeremias 33

Clama a mí y yo te responderé, y te enseñaré cosas grandes y ocultas que tú no conoces.

Jeremías 33:3

Al inicio del texto nos dice que Jeremías estaba preso, pero la Palabra de Dios, no lo estaba. El propósito de Dios en ese momento era restaurar Jerusalén. Por eso le dice: Clama a mí y yo te responderé; le aseguró que sólo tenía que pedir y Él actuaría.

Lo mismo nos está prometiendo a nosotros hoy. Él está listo para responder a nuestras oraciones, pero debemos pedir su ayuda, con seguridad Él puede ocuparse de nuestras necesidades, sin que se lo pidamos; pero cuando lo hacemos reconocemos que sólo Él es Dios y que no podemos lograr con nuestras propias fuerzas todo lo que está en su dominio hacer.

Cuando pedimos debemos humillarnos, echar a un lado nuestra preocupación y obedecerle sólo a Él. Debemos abrir nuestros corazones para que pueda entrar y ahí establecer su Reino y vivir con la certeza de que siempre que lo invoquemos, Él nos responderá y nos restaurará, según su voluntad.

 

Oración: Permite Señor que siempre que clamemos a ti, obtengamos la respuesta que necesitamos para nuestro bien. Amén
