THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1

A WITNESSING COMMUNITY.

Mark 6: 7-13

He ordered them to take nothing for their journey except a staff; no bread, no bag, no money in their belts;

Mark 6.8 (NRSV)

The situations around us leave us with burdens and tensions that turn us into targets for ourselves. We bear an extra weight on our walk, on our tasks, according to our attitude and look at our own being, the “I,” “I need, I don’t have, I can’t.”

So it happens that sometimes we do not find the strength to speak to others about hope, about faith, because our self stops seeing beyond itself.

This text, the call of Jesus, inspires us today. He asks them to go with what is necessary for each moment, without anxieties about making reservations of any kind, to share their lives, with transparency to testify of this Hope, of the path to participate and build in community. He sends them by twos, with the strength of his spirit, the strength of community.

 

Prayer: Lord, give us every day the courage and the feeling to share you with those who do not know about you, to speak of the hope that you give us and the purpose of life through our actions. Amen.

FEBRERO 1, JUEVES

UNA COMUNIDAD QUE TESTIFICA.

Marcos 6: 7-13

Y les mandó que no llevasen nada para el camino, sino solamente bordón; ni alforja, ni pan, ni dinero en cinto.

Marcos 6.8

Las situaciones a nuestro alrededor nos dejan cargas y tensiones que nos convierten en dianas de nosotros mismos. Ponemos un peso extra en nuestro andar, en nuestras tareas, según nuestra actitud y mirada a nuestro propio ser el “yo”, “yo necesito, no tengo, no puedo”

Asi pasa que a veces no encontramos las fuerzas para hablar a otros de esperanza, de fe, porque nuestro yo, deja de ver más allá de si mismo.

Este texto nos inspira hoy, el llamado de Jesús. Les pide ir con lo necesario para cada momento, sin ansiedades de hacer reservas de ningún tipo, compartir de sus vidas, con trasparencia testificar de esta Esperanza, del camino a participar y construir en comunidad. Los envia en dúo, con la fuerza de su espiritu, la fuerza de lo comunitario.

 

Oración: Señor danos cada dia la valentia y el sentir de compartirte con quienes no saben de ti, hablar de la esperanza que nos das y propuesta de vida a través de nuestro actuar. Amén.
