Anniversary of “The Redeemer” Church (Versalles)

LET'S GO PROMPTLY TO JESUS.

Mark 6:53-56

And wherever he went, into villages or cities or farms, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak; and all who touched it were healed.

Mark 6: 56 (NRSV)

At that time there was an awareness rooted in religion that the sick were people who had committed different sins and thus they were excluded, marginalized, as if their life was ending.

In Gennesaret the faith had spread, had broadened, and wherever they were, everyone wanted to touch the hem of Jesus’ cloak in the certainty that a little bit of what He was, of what He shared, was enough to heal them and so it was. Jesus healed by restoring health, and restoring dignity, the awareness of being loved and that God never lets go of our hand. A healed person is returned tp community to feel inclusion in society, is given back freedon and public life.

 

Prayer: Lord, may we always be able to recognize you in our life, may we always be ready to go to meet you, may others see how you restore and heal us, and so may recognize you through our lives. Amen.

Aniversario de la Iglesia “El Redentor” (Versalles)

VAYAMOS CON PRONTITUD A JESÚS.

Marcos 6:53-56

Y dondequiera que entraba, en aldeas, ciudades o campos, ponían en las calles a los que estaba enfermos, y le rogaban que les dejase tocar siquiera el borde de su manto

y todos los que le tocaban quedaban sanos.

Marcos 6: 56

Para la época había una conciencia arraigada en la religión que los enfermos eran personas que habían cometido diferentes pecados y desde ahí eran excluidas, marginadas, como si se les acabara la vida.

En Genesaret la fe se ha extendido, ha brotado y todos quieren aunque sea tocar le borde de su manto, con la certeza de que un poquito de lo que Él es, de lo que comparte, es suficiente para sanarles y así es, Jesús sanaba devolviendo la salud, y devolviendo la dignidad, la conciencia de ser queridos y que Dios no nos suelta nunca de la mano. Una persona sanada esta devuelta en la comunidad a experimentar la inclusión en la sociedad, les devuelve la libertad, la vida pública.

 

Oración: Señor, que te podamos reconocer siempre en nuestra vida, que estemos siempre dispuestos a caminar a tu encuentro, que otros puedan ver cómo nos restauras y sanas, y así puedan reconocerte a través de nuestras vidas. Amen.
