LET’S SEEK THE ENCOUNTER

Luke 2: 22-32

Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying,“Master, now you are dismissing your servant in peace, according to your word;

Luke 2:28 (NRSV)

When a baby is born we want to see photos of it, go to visit it, but sometimes we must wait for it to be brought to us. Often time passes before we can meet, but the desire remains latent all that time to see the baby, which always brings happiness.

This text tells us about faith and about those who waited much of their lives trusting to one day meet the Savior in person, with a strong and simple certainty of a faith that leads them to that wonderful encounter.

God’s Spirit gives the opportunity and moves what is needed for the meeting, the seeing, the taking in our arms the hope of the world, the peace, of Jesus who teaches us the way of truth, of goodness, of love with his life.

 

Prayer: Thank you, God, for our brother Jesus who comes into the encounter with our lives; thank you for the opportunity we have to receive him, to seek him, and to find in Him love, peace, salvation for everyone. Amen.

BUSQUEMOS EL ENCUENTRO

Lucas 2: 22-32

Él le tomó en sus brazos, y bendijo a Dios, diciendo: ahora, Señor, despides a tu siervo en paz, conforme a tu palabra, porque han visto mis ojos a tu salvación

Lucas 2:28

Cuando nace un bebé queremos verlo en fotos, ir a visitarle, pero en ocasiones tenemos que esperar a que lo traigan. Muchas veces pasa tiempo antes de conocerlo. Pero el deseo sigue latente todo ese tiempo de conocer al infante, que siempre trae alegria.

El texto nos deja saber de la fe y de quienes esperaron gran parte de sus vidas confiando en conocer en persona un dia al Salvador, con una certeza fuerte y sencilla de una fe que les lleva a ese encuentro maravilloso.

El Espiritu de Dios da la oportunidad y mueve lo necesario para el encuentro, ver, cargar en los brazos a la esperanza del mundo, la paz, a Jesús, quién nos enseña el camino de la verdad, del bien, del amor con su vida.

 

Oración: Gracias Dios por nuestro hermano Jesús, que viene al encuentro de nuestras vidas, gracias por la oportunidad que tenemos de recibirle, de buscarle y encontrar en Él, amor, paz, salvación para todas las personas. Amén.
