THE WISDOM OF ASKING WITH FAITH

James 1: 1-11

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (NIV)

James 1:5

Isn’t this a wonderful affirmation of God’s generosity, which is for everyone, and does not measure profits in return?

How hopeful to know that God pays attention to our requests, that he is alert to our prayers, that he reaches out with his goodness enough to embrace and accompany each person without distinctions!

It remains for us to leave arrogance aside and try to humbly ask God for the best decisions at each crossroad. Let us take this time to ask, not only for those who suffer, but also for ourselves. Just keep in mind that God expects these requests to be made with faith, and even when the answer that comes to us is not what we expected, let us pray with faith that his ways are higher, and his love for us is infinite. There is no room for doubt if it is about the love of God.

 

Prayer: Dear God, may we always find the way to your ears in prayer. May our faith be strong, capable of moving the mountains that limit us. Amen.

LA SABIDURIA DE PEDIR CON FE

Santiago 1: 1-11

Si a alguno de ustedes le falta sabiduría, que se la pida a Dios y él se la dará; porque Dios da a todos con generosidad y sin regatear. Pero tiene que pedírsela con fe y sin dudar...

Santiago 1:5

¿No es maravilloso esta afirmación de la generosidad de Dios, que es para todos y todas, y que no mide utilidades de regreso?

¡Qué esperanzador saber que Dios presta atención a nuestros pedidos, que está en alerta ante nuestras oraciones, que alcanza su bondad como para abrazar y acompañar a cada persona sin distinciones!

De nuestra parte queda, dejar las soberbias a un lado he intentar pedir con humildad a Dios las mejores decisiones en cada encrucijada. No escatimemos ese tiempo de pedir, no solo por quienes sufren, sino también por nosotras y nosotros mismos. Solo tengamos presente, que Dios espera que esas peticiones sean con fe, y aún cuando la respuesta que nos llegue no sea la esperada, oremos con fe en que sus caminos son más altos y su amor para con nosotros infinito. No hay espacio para la duda si del amor de Dios se trata.

 

Oración: Dios amado, que siempre encontremos en la oración el camino hacia tus oídos, que nuestra fe sea fuerte capaz de mover las montañas que nos limitan. Amén
