WE ARE A FAMILY IN GOD

Matthew”12: 46-50

Show us your unfailing love, Lord….

Psalm 85:7 NIV

The title of today’s reflection is that of a hymn that was often sung in  CANIP. Its lyrics tell us a lot:

              We are one family in God and we love each other,

              We are one family in God and we care for each other.

              In trials or in struggles our love remains the same.

              We are one family in God and we love each other.

It is impressive to see how in our faith communities we achieve that family intimacy that strengthens us and accompanies us every day and especially in important moments of our lives, whether they are days of joy or sadness.

On birthdays or days of battle against an illness, there are our brothers and sisters in faith.

If we really want to be disciples of Jesus, this will be our greatest challenge.

Jesus, out of LOVE, declares his disciples to be a relative of a new kind, and we will only be recognized as such if we fulfill and share the good news, just as he teaches us.

 

Prayer: Lord of Life, let us be members of your family of LOVE. Amen.

SOMOS UNA FAMILIA EN DIOS

Mateo 12: 46-50

Muéstranos, Señor, tu amor inagotable.

Salmo 84:7

El título a la reflexión de hoy es el de un himno que se cantaba a menudo en el CANIP. Su letra nos dice mucho:

Somos una familia en Dios y nos amamos,

Somos una familia en Dios y nos cuidamos.

En pruebas o en luchas nuestro amor sigue igual.

Somos una familia en Dios y nos amamos.

Es impresionante ver cómo en nuestras comunidades de fe se logra esa intimidad de familia que nos fortalece y nos acompaña cada día y especialmente en momentos importantes de nuestras vidas, sean días de alegrías o de tristezas.

En días de cumpleaños o en días de batalla contra una enfermedad, ahí están nuestros hermanos en la fe.

Y es que, si realmente queremos ser discípulos de Jesús, este será nuestro mayor desafío.

Jesús, por AMOR, declara a sus discípulos parientes de nuevo tipo, y sólo seremos reconocidos como tales si cumplimos y compartimos las buenas nuevas, así como Él nos enseña.

 

Oración: Señor de la Vida, permítenos ser miembros de tu familia de AMOR. Amén.
