WHAT DOES GOD WANT OF ME?

Isaiah 6: 1-8

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall  I send? And who will go for us? And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”  (NIV)

Isaiah 6:8

If you feel that God has touched your heart, then listen to his call. Sometimes it is like a whisper, but other times he shouts very loudly. How many times have you asked yourself if you are capable of doing the task that God has given you? Yes, you are able, because he has chosen you, because he knows that it is not impossible for you to achieve it, because he has breathed into you with his Spirit and has endowed you with talents and abilities to achieve the goal.

Be like Isaiah: face those fears that prevent you from opening up to God and let yourself be guided. Listen to what he is calling you for. Perhaps in the silence of the night or among the bustle of people, he is and will be with you, in that test, in that fight, in that decision. Be willing and respond: “Here I am, send me.”

 

Prayer: Use me, Lord, only you know my abilities. Show me the way to go. Allow my gifts to be put at your service and at the service of others. Amen.

¿QUÉ QUIERE DIOS DE MÍ?

Isaías 6: 1-8

Escuché entonces la voz del Señor que decía: «¿A quién enviaré? ¿Quién irá de parte mía?» Yo le respondí: «Aquí estoy, Señor, envíame».

Si sientes que Dios ha tocado tu corazón, escucha su llamado: unas veces es como un susurro, pero otras veces te grita muy fuerte. ¿Cuántas veces no te has preguntado si eres capaz de hacer la tarea que Dios te ha encomendado? Sí, lo eres, porque Él te ha elegido, porque sabe que no es imposible que lo logres, porque te ha soplado con su Espíritu y te ha dotado de talentos y habilidades para alcanzar la meta.

Sé como Isaías: enfrenta esos miedos que te impiden abrirte a Dios y déjate guiar. Escucha para qué te está llamando, quizás en el silencio de la noche o entre el bullicio de la gente. Él está y estará contigo, en esa prueba, en esa lucha, en esa decisión. Ten la disposición y responde: «aquí estoy, envíame a mí».

 

Oración: Úsame, Señor, solo tú conoces mis capacidades. Muéstrame el camino a seguir. Permite que mis dones sean puestos a tu servicio y al servicio de los demás. Amén.
