CHANGE. LEAVE BEHIND
Matthew 11: 20-24
Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. (NIV)
Matthew 11:20
For some Christians, conversion is repentance. However, converting is also “being born of water and the Spirit” and giving witness. To do this, it is not enough to repent of what damages, affects or lacerates our lives or the lives of those around us. It is not enough to recognize that we are outside the path that Jesus offers us.
Conversion to Jesus’ proposal is a response to the call he makes to us, and reaches its deepest meaning when we are capable not only of repenting but of assuming it as a personal decision that comprises the entire being and doing of our human essence. By leaving behind, abandoning everything that prevents the total following of Christ: apathy, fears, judgments, resentments, lack of love and selfishness. To convert is to dare to live day by day, transforming ourselves while we experience the action of God, his wonders and miracles in us.
Prayer: Allow, Lord, that we can live this day as an opportunity for personal transformation and commitment to your calling. Amen.

Convertirse: dejar atrĂ¡s
Mateo 11: 20-24s
