GOD BLESSES CLEAN CONDUCT

 MATTHEW 12:25-37

“He who has clean hands and a pure heart,

who does not lift up his soul to an idol,

or swear by what is false,

He will receive blessing from the Lord

And vindication from God his Savior.”

Psalm 24:4-5

Clean conduct has to do with purity of heart. And purity of heart is nothing other than healthy intentions, “the sincere eye” of which the Gospel speaks.  It also has to do with healthy speech. In other words, we are made of a single purity.  There is no room for fragmenting ourselves.  The heart is like a small bottle from which we take out our words and our actions.  The small bottle must be clean, that is, it must be sincere and show what is contained within it.

God blesses the sincere and pure heart.  And God’s blessing only helps to justify us in our sincerity.  That is the righteousness, which was manifested to us in Jesus Christ, which is justifying us in Him and working health and salvation within us.  Let us try to make our lives a single piece and to enjoy the Lord’s blessing, as we have never before imagined.

Prayer: God of my salvation, work in us in such a way that your righteousness will justify us in our sincerity.  Grant that we be sincere with you, with others, and with ourselves. Amen.  

DIOS BENDICE LA CONDUCTA LIMPIA

 MATEO 12:25-37

“El limpio de manos, y puro de corazón;

el que  no ha elevado su alma a la vanidad,

ni jurado con engaño. Él recibirá bendición del Señor,

y justicia del Dios de salud”

Salmo 24:4-5

La conducta limpia tiene que ver con la pureza del corazón. Y la pureza del corazón no es otra cosa que la sana intención, “el ojo sincero” de que haba el Evangelio. Y también tiene que ver con la palabra sana. Es decir, que somos hechos de una sola pureza. No hay lugar para fragmentarnos. El corazón es como un frasco de donde sacamos las palabras y las acciones. El frasco  ha de estar limpio, es decir,  ha de ser sincero y mostrar lo que lleva adentro.

Dios bendice el corazón sincero y puro.  Y la bendición de Dios no hace sino justificarnos en nuestra sinceridad. Esa es su justicia, la que nos ha manifestado en Jesucristo, justificándonos en Él y obrando en nosotros la salud, es decir, la salvación. Tratemos de que nuestra vida sea de una sola pieza y gozaremos de la bendición del Señor, como jamás antes lo habíamos imaginado.

Oración: Dios de mi salvación, obra en nosotros de tal manera que tu justicia nos justifique en nuestra sinceridad. Que seamos sinceros contigo, con los demás y con nosotros mismos. Amén.
