GOD’S GRACE IS EFFECTIVE

ROMANS 5:12-21

“The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ”

Romans 5:20-21

God gave us the law so that we would have a mirror where we could contemplate the reality of sin within ourselves. And the more we look at ourselves in that mirror, the more we are conscious of and acknowledge the reality of our human miseries.  As we acknowledge our sins, we draw nearer to God and we open a door towards reconciliation and abundant life.

But as sin increased, grace increased all the more in order to erase our rebellions, cleanse our iniquities and free us from our sins. And Jesus Christ came so that grace could increase all the more. And so that righteousness would reign for Life Eternal.

Let us beseech God to bathe us daily with his grace, that our bodies may be instruments of his righteousness and of his will.

Prayer: Lord, I know that your Son, full of grace and truth, introduced redemptive grace over me, a sinner, that I may be faithful to you until death. Amen.

LA  GRACIA DE DIOS ES EFICAZ

ROMANOS 5:12-21

“Pero la ley se introdujo para que el pecado

abundase; mas cuando el pecado abundó,

sobreabundó la gracia; para que así como

el pecado reino para muerte, así también

la gracia reine por la justicia para vida eterna

mediante Jesucristo, Señor nuestro”

Romanos 5:20-21

Dios nos dio la ley para que tuviésemos un espejo donde pudiéramos contemplar la realidad del pecado en nosotros. Y cuanto más nos miramos en ese espejo, más concientizamos y reconocemos la realidad  de nuestras miserias humanas. Al reconocer nuestros pecados, nos acercamos más a Dios  y abrimos una puerta hacia la reconciliación y la  vida plena.

Pero en la medida que abundó el pecado, sobreabundó la gracia para borrar nuestras rebeliones, limpiar nuestras iniquidades y librarnos de nuestros pecados. Y Jesucristo vino para que la gracia sobreabundase. Y la justicia reine para Vida Eterna.

Clamemos a Dios para que diariamente nos bañe con su gracia y nuestro cuerpo sea instrumento de su justicia y de su voluntad.

Oración: Señor, yo sé que tu Hijo, lleno de gracia y verdad, introdujo en  el mundo la gracia redentora sobre mí, pecador, para serte fiel hasta la muerte. Amén.
