IT’S NEVER
TOO LATE

you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren,

Naomi was a woman who suffered painful and
difficult moments in the course of her existence. Nevertheless, the trying days
left no trace of bitterness in her, and for that reason she was able to begin
the task of caring for and protecting little Obed, whom God gave her as a
beautiful blessing.
Many of us, those of us blessed to be
grandparents, have received the beautiful mandate to take care of and look
after a grandchild while the parents are away at work. Some resist carrying out
this responsibility because it seems to them that they lack sufficient energy
for the task. It’s certain that everyone hopes for rest, and we have every
right to enjoy it, but it would be good to assess this opportunity that life
brings us that can be a great blessing for others as well as for ourselves.
To take a child by the hand and guide him in his
first steps is a privilege that renews, and now you can do it as well. We are
also blessed to be able to offer something of the wisdom we have accumulated
over the years. We feel useful; it provides us with an indescribable
delight.
Prayer: Thank
you for the opportunities that life affords me to be able to serve others.

Noemí
fue una mujer que sufrió momentos dolorosos y difíciles en el transcurso de su
existencia. Sin embargo, no quedó en ella la amargura de los días difíciles y
por eso pudo comenzar la tarea de cuidar y proteger al pequeño Obed, que Dios
le ofreció como una hermosa bendición.
Muchos
de nosotros a los que la vida nos ha hecho abuelas y abuelos, hemos recibido la
hermosa encomienda de atender y cuidar a un nieto o nieta mientras sus padres
trabajan fuera del hogar. Algunos se resisten a cumplir esta responsabilidad
porque les parece que ya no tienen fuerzas suficientes para hacerlo. Es cierto
que todos aspiramos al descanso, y tenemos todo el derecho de disfrutarlo, pero
sería bueno valorar esta oportunidad que la vida nos trae, que puede ser de
gran bendición para otras personas, y también para nosotros mismos.
Tomar
de la mano a un niño y guiarle en sus primeros pasos, es un privilegio que
renueva, y que ahora puedes hacer. También ofrecer algo de la sabiduría que los
años nos han permitido acumular nos hace bienaventurados. Sentirnos útiles nos
proporciona una felicidad indescriptible.
Oración: Gracias por las oportunidades que la vida me brinda
de poder servir a otros.
