A MESSAGE FOR THE YOUTH

I PETER 4: 12-19

“But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ,

so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.” 

I Peter 4:13

     Those of you who have decided to respond to Lord Jesus’s call to follow him may perhaps feel chilliness on the part of some of your friends. Perhaps on occasion you feel alone; some make fun of you because you believe in Christ. When Jesus was on earth he was misunderstood, spurned and even hated for telling the truth. For the same reason, those who follow him today in many parts of the world at times feel misunderstood and despised, even up to the point of sacrificing their lives.

It’s not easy for anyone to be criticized or to be left aside, but in a certain sense those criticisms will be the test of the authenticity of the message we impart.

Be that as it may, upon committing ourselves to follow Jesus we will, at times, encounter tests, but we will also experience a measure of strength and of joy, renewed in our passing through them with God’s help. Don’t be discouraged; don’t abandon the way of faith. “Do not fear or be dismayed because the Lord your God will be with you wherever you may go.”

Prayer:  Hear our prayer today, beloved God. We pray especially for our youth, for their fears, their distress, and their dreams. Support them with your Word. Amen.

Aniversario de la JUPRECU

UN  MENSAJE PARA LOS JÓVENES

I PEDRO 4: 12-19

“Al contrario, gozaos  por cuanto sois participantes de los padecimientos de Cristo, para que también en la revelación de su gloria os gocéis con gran alegría”

I Pedro 4:13

Ustedes, que han decidido responder al llamado del Señor Jesús para seguirle, quizás sientan cierta frialdad por parte de algunos de sus amigos y amigas. Puede que en ocasiones se sientan solos, algunos se burlan de ustedes porque creen en Cristo. Cuando Jesús estuvo en la tierra fue incomprendido, despreciado e incluso odiado por anunciar la verdad. Por la misma razón los que lo siguen hoy en muchas partes del mundo, a veces se sienten incomprendidos y despreciados, hasta el punto de sacrificar sus vidas.

Para nadie es fácil ser criticado o dejado de lado, pero en cierto sentido esas críticas son la prueba de la autenticidad del mensaje que transmitimos.

Sea como sea, al comprometernos a seguir a Jesús, a veces pasaremos por pruebas, pero también experimentaremos una fuerza y un gozo renovados para atravesarlas con la ayuda de Dios.

No te desanimes, ni abandones el camino de la fe, “no temas, ni desmayes porque el Señor tu dios estará contigo dondequiera que vayas”.

Oración: Escucha hoy nuestra oración Dios amado, te pedimos especialmente por nuestros jóvenes, por sus miedos, sus angustias y sus planes. Apóyalos con  tu Palabra. Amén.
