RIPPING OUT THE ROOTS OF BITTERNESS
HEBREWS 12:12-29

“See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.”
 Hebrews 12:15

Bitterness is an emotion that makes us look at reality with a great burden of negativity.  A sister in the faith was once given a large white circle with a small black dot in the center and she was asked: “What do you see?” “A black dot,” she answered.  “And you don’t see a great big white circle around it?”

We often have the tendency to see things from a closed perspective, to see the darkness and not the light.  When bitterness finds a place in our hearts, we tend to allow ourselves to be carried away by obstacles and difficult situations. This causes us to lose tranquility.

As Christians we should make our lives revolve by placing God in the center because He is “our fortress and our ready help in tribulations”.

Bitterness not only affects us, but also those around us.  Bitterness affects our communication with other people and causes us to give a bad testimony marked by hopelessness and despair.

If you are surrounded by this feeling, uproot it and rearm your life with hope to face each challenge, trusting in God and his promises.

Prayer: Our God, help us to remember that you are light and salvation, and that by your side there is no room for fear. Amen.

ARRANQUEMOS LAS RAÍCES DE AMARGURA
HEBREOS 12:12-29

“Tengan cuidado no vayan a perderse la gracia de Dios;
