THE TIME HAS COME TO PRAY WITH FAITH

PSALM 62

“…you, O Lord, are loving.  Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.”

Psalm 62:12

Many people spend a great part of their lives seated on the waiting bench, thinking, sleeping at times, or simply involved in an everyday routine, in the daily struggle.  All those who expend themselves without the ability to see with one’s heart and to act accordingly, are also seated on the waiting bench, even without realizing it.

The time has come to apply the verbs loving, feeling, helping, working, understanding and striving. We are oftentimes confronted by evil in order to see what we are able to do. A quick solution means turning our backs on the problem and going our own apparent way. Resolving a problem requires courage and wisdom.  It is easier to distance ourselves rather than to involve ourselves.

There is a story about two friends leaving a restaurant.  The unbelieving one said to the believer: “If your God exists and were a God of love, of goodness and of justice, how is it possible for a boy like this homeless and begging child in filthy rags to exist?”  The believer replied: “He placed him in your way to see what you are capable of doing.”

In our daily walk we often do not listen to God and we do not fulfill the purposes that He has for our lives.  We need to open our hearts and to commit ourselves even more, and to ask the Lord: “What are your expectations from me?”

Prayer: Lord, allow us to work with faith and to work with our hearts, devoting ourselves without expecting anything in return.  Grant that we may behold your light and say to you: I am here. Amen.

ES TIEMPO DE OBRAR CON FE

SALMO 62

“Y tuya, oh Señor, es la misericordia,

porque tu pagas a cada uno conforme a su obra”

Salmo 62:12

Muchas personas pasan gran parte de sus vidas sentadas en el banco de la espera, pensando, a veces durmiendo, o simplemente envueltos en la rutina de cada día, en el afán de cada día. Todo aquel que se afana y no es capaz de ver con el corazón y actuar como tal, está también sentado en el banco de la espera, aunque no lo sepa.

Estos son tiempos de aplicar los verbos amar, sentir, ayudar, obrar, comprender, y luchar. El mal muchas veces se presenta delante de nosotros, para ver qué somos capaces de hacer. Una solución rápida es darle la espalda al problema y seguir nuestro aparente camino. Solucionar un problema requiere de valentía y sabiduría. Es más fácil apartarnos que inmiscuirnos.

Existe un cuento que habla de dos amigos que al salir de un restaurante el no creyente le dice al que cree: “Si tu Dios existiera y fuera un Dios de amor, de bondad y de justicia, ¿Cómo es posible la existencia de ese niño que ahora se encuentra en la calle con ropas sucias y pidiendo limosnas? El devoto le responde: Él te lo ha puesto en tu camino para ver qué eres capaz de hacer”

En nuestro andar diario a menudo no escuchamos a Dios y no cumplimos los propósitos que Él tiene para nuestras vidas. Es necesario abrir nuestros corazones y entregarnos aún más, y preguntarle al Señor: ¿Qué esperas de mí?

Oración: Señor, permítenos obrar con fe y obrar con el corazón, entregarnos sin esperar nada a cambio, contemplar tu luz y decirte: estoy aquí. Amén.
