WHAT DO YOU HAVE
IN YOUR HAND?
EXODUS 4 :1-7
The LORD said to him,
"What is that
in your hand?"
Exodus 4.2
God never asks us to do anything without first equipping us
to do it. In fact, God often uses what we already have. Moses was chosen to
lead the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. God didn't give him
special tools or talents; He made him use the staff that was in his hand.
When Moses threw it on the ground, it became a snake. When he
picked it up, it turned back into a staff, showing God's power. Noah used his
knowledge of carpentry to build an ark with which he saved his family and every
kind of animal from the flood. David used his sling to kill Goliath, and his
harp to calm King Saul.
What do you have in your hand? A musical instrument? Tools
to help repair the church? A special gift?
Today we need to ask ourselves what we have in our hands and
how we can use it to glorify God.
Prayer: Lord, help us to see
how we can use what we have for service. May we not make excuses in the face of
your call. Amen.

¿QUÉ ES LO QUE TIENES EN TU MANO?
EXODO 4 :1-7
el Señor dijo a Moisés: ¿qué es eso que tienes en tu mano?
Éxodo 4.2
Dios jamás nos pide que
hagamos algo sin equiparnos primero para hacerlo. De hecho Dios a menudo usa lo
que ya tenemos. Moisés fue elegido para sacar a los hijos de Israel de la
tierra de Egipto. Dios no le dio instrumentos o talentos especiales. Le hizo
usar la vara que ya tenía en la mano.
Cuando Moisés la echó al
suelo se convirtió en una serpiente. Cuando la recogió volvió a ser una vara
mostrando así el poder de Dios. Noé uso sus conocimientos de carpintería para
construir el arca en la que salvo del diluvio a su familia y a toda clase de
animales.
David usó una honda para matar a Goliat y un arpa
para calmar al rey Saúl.
¿Qué tienes tú en la
mano? ¿Un instrumento musical?
¿Herramientas para ayudar en las reparaciones de la iglesia? ¿Un don
específico?
Hoy debemos preguntarnos
que tenemos en las manos y cómo podemos usarlo para glorificar a Dios.
Oración: Señor, ayúdanos a ver
cómo podemos usar lo que tenemos para servir.
Qué no pongamos excusas ante tu llamado. Amén.
