SALVATION BELONGS TO GOD
Revelation 7:9-17
And they cried out with a loud voice” Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
Revelation 7:10 (NIV)
King Louis XIV of France was going to be buried in the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. The temple was profusely decorated. The turnout gathered there represented the greatest of nobility. The dead king's body was dressed in showy, rich clothing. Those gathered there expected a great panegyric, as the occasion deserved, yet they were surprised and stunned when they heard the preacher say, “Only God is great!”
This sublime greatness of God is recognized by the angels of our text today, who stood around the throne, prostrated there and worshipped God by saying:
“Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and strength are our God's for ever and ever. Amen!”
Prayer: God of life, when we live in the midst of so many “gods” that we create as we please “in our own image and likeness,” help us recognize your exalted greatness in our lives, from whom our salvation and deliverance comes by the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, amen.

LA SALVACION VIENE DE DIOS
Apocalipsis 7:9-17
Gritaban a gran voz: ¡La salvación viene de nuestro Dios, que está sentado en el trono, y del Cordero!
Apocalipsis 7:10
El rey Luis XIV de Francia iba a ser sepultado en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora, en París. El templo estaba profusamente decorado. La concurrencia allí reunida representaba a lo más grande de la nobleza. El cuerpo del rey muerto estaba ataviado con vistosos y ricos vestidos. Los allí reunidos esperaban un grandioso panegírico, como lo mereceríía la ocasión, sin embargo, quedaron sorprendidos y pasmados cuando escucharon al predicador decir: “¡Solamente Dios es grande!”.
Esa sublime grandeza de Dios la reconocen los ángeles de nuestro texto de hoy, los cuales estaban en pie alrededor del trono, se postraron y adoraron a Dios diciendo:
«¡Amén! La alabanza, la gloria, la sabiduría, la acción de gracias, la honra, el poder y la fortaleza son de nuestro Dios por los siglos de los siglos. ¡Amén!»
Oración: Dios de la vida, cuando vivimos en medio de tantos "dioses" que creamos "a nuestra propia imagen y semejanza" y a nuestro antojo, ayúdanos a reconocer tu excelsa grandeza en nuestras vidas, de quien proviene nuestra salvación y liberación por el sacrificio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, en cuyo nombre oramos, amén.
