REST IN HIS MERCY

Psalm 123

Have mercy on us Lord. (NIV)

Psalm 123:3

            Some time ago, while I was experiencing different problems I felt great frustration because I thought if I were dedicated to God no difficulties of that type would happen. I visited the infirm, prayed unceasingly, read his Word, but the problems in my life continued the same. Then, my first reaction was to get angry with God, but such an attitude brought no benefit, just the opposite. Finally, it was the cry of mercy before his presence that brought me to confront all the difficulties that had surfaced in my path at that moment

            In the face of the frustration and problems we face in life, above all in those moments in which we’re completely depleted by so many difficulties, God’s mercy is the correct direction toward which we should direct our clamor. Our request for divine mercy rests in the reality that God is a merciful God, and in his hand is the power to help us when faced with the most terrible situations we face. To cry out for his mercy brings hope and opens a sure door for the expected relief.   

 

Prayer: God of all mercy, teach us each day to come before you and present our frustrations to continue resting in your mercy. Amen.

DESCANSA EN SU MISERICORDIA

Salmo 123

Ten compasión de nosotros, Señor.

Salmos 123:3

            Hace algún tiempo mientras pasaba por diversas pruebas sentí una gran frustración porque pensaba que si estaba dedicado a Dios no pasaría dificultades de aquel tipo. Visitaba a enfermos, oraba sin cesar, leía su Palabra, pero igual tenía problemas en mi vida. Entonces mi primera reacción fue enojarme con Dios, pero tal actitud no trajo ningún beneficio sino todo lo contrario. Finalmente fue el clamor de misericordia ante su presencia lo que me llevó a enfrentar todas las dificultades que habían aflorado en mi camino en aquel momento.

            La misericordia de Dios es la dirección correcta hacia donde debemos dirigir nuestro clamor ante las frustraciones y problemas que enfrentamos en la vida, sobre todo en esos momentos en que estamos completamente agotados por las tantas dificultades. Nuestra súplica por la misericordia divina descansa en la realidad de que Dios es un Dios misericordioso y en su mano está el poder para ayudarnos ante las más terribles situaciones que enfrentamos. Clamar por su misericordia trae esperanza, y abre una puerta segura para el auxilio esperado.

 

Oración: Dios de toda misericordia, enséñanos cada día a venir delante de ti, y presentarte nuestras frustraciones para seguir descansando en tu misericordia. Amén
