FOUR THINGS WE NEED

2 Peter 1:1-7

and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.

            In these months in which a cruel pandemic has shut everyone in their own home, returning us to the primary center in which the individual is socialized, feeling discomfort, anguish and even despair, is very easy. First of all, because until when or how to reach the end is unknowable; and second, because we do not want, nor do we know how to let go of customs, habits and routines, or the pleasures of the world

            Precisely when obstacles are great is when our faith should be stronger and pure to guard against what weakens our morale and obscures what is just in our journey. Only the practice of the Christian good and the purification of our mind lead to the necessary self-control when the waters of the river of life are out of their banks. In circumstances like these, we must act with equanimity and patience, trust God, and show solidarity with the pains of those who also suffer.

 

Prayer: Loving heavenly Father, in your holy hands we place all of humanity suffering from this pandemic. We ask your blessing for this world that needs you so much, Lord. Stand by the sick, the unemployed, those who have remained isolated. We pray in the name of your Son Jesus. Amen.

CUATRO COSAS PRECISAMOS

2 Pedro 1:1-7

… a la piedad, afecto fraternal; y al afecto fraternal, amor

             En estos meses en que una cruel pandemia ha encerrado al mundo en su propio hogar, devolviéndonos al núcleo primero en que se socializa al individuo, sentir desconsuelo, angustia y hasta desesperación, es muy fácil. Primero, porque no se ha sabido hasta cuando, ni cómo llegar al final; y segundo, porque no queremos, ni sabemos renunciar a las costumbre, los hábitos y las rutinas, o a los placeres del mundo.

            Precisamente cuando los obstáculos  son mayores, nuestra fe más fuerte y pura debe ser, para impedir que en el camino nuestra moral se  debilite y el  juicio recto se oscurezca. Sólo la práctica del bien cristiano y la purificación de nuestra mente  conducen al autocontrol necesario cuando las aguas del rio de la vida están desbordadas. En circunstancias como esas debemos actuar con ecuanimidad y paciencia, confiar en Él, ser solidarios con las penas de quienes también sufren.

 

Oración: Amantísimo Padre Celestial, en tus santas manos colocamos a toda la humanidad que sufre por esta pandemia. Te pedimos tu bendición para este mundo que tanto te necesita, Señor. Acompaña a los enfermos, a los desempleados, a los que se han quedado solos. En el nombre de tu Hijo Jesús oramos, amén.
