YOUR CONTRIBUTION IS IMPORTANT

I Corinthians 12:4-12

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;

            The Church of Christ is a community of brothers and sisters in which each one of its members has a function. To each one, God has shown a task, a gift, and a calling for the common good. Each person has something to contribute. There is a great variety of gifts, and all are important, always, and when they are put to use for the community and for humanity.

            No one gift is better than another; all are given by the Holy Spirit. Perhaps we might think that our contribution isn’t sufficient, and perhaps we decline to give our “grain of sand” because we consider it small and insignificant. But God calls us to strive to serve with that which is given to us day by day, not only with material things, but also with those which fill our hearts with inspiration.

 

Prayer: Lord, help us to fulfill our role as members of the Body of Christ. Amen.

TU APORTE ES IMPORTANTE

I Corintios 12:4-12

Ahora bien, hay diversidad de dones, pero el Espíritu es el mismo.

1 Corintios 12:4

            La Iglesia de Cristo es una comunidad de hermanos y hermanas donde cada uno de sus miembros tiene una función. A cada quien Dios manifiesta una labor, un don y una vocación para el bien común. Cada persona tiene algo que aportar. Existe gran diversidad de dones y todos son importantes, siempre y cuando sean puestos al servicio de la comunidad y de la humanidad.

            No hay ningún don mayor que otro; todos son dados por el Espíritu Santo. Quizás pensemos que nuestro aporte no es suficiente, quizás dejemos de dar nuestro “granito de arena” porque lo estimamos pequeño e insignificante. Pero Dios nos llama a poner empeño en servir con lo que se nos da día a día, no solo con las cosas materiales, también con las que el inspira en nuestros corazones.

 

Oración: Señor, ayúdanos a cumplir nuestro papel como miembros del cuerpo de Cristo. Amén
