IF IT WEREN’T FOR GOD...

Matthew 10:16

“If it was not for my faith in God, who sustains me, and loves me, I would have gone crazy.” Expressions such as this one can hear at times from the mouth of any human.

The injustices and disorder caused by some men or peoples have been, and will continue to be, a cause of confusion for many. Because? We ourselves sometimes do not understand the loss of a loved one, the hardships that our best friend may go through, etc. However, God gives us the answer through his eternal message.

He shows us that sometimes the good suffer, because it is not possible to make distinctions. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven, who makes the sun rise on the bad and the good alike, and who makes it rain on the just and the unjust.

Conflict abounds in life. Faith in God prevents us from succumbing to setbacks and trials. The God in whom we trust is a living God, his power keeps us from falling.

 

Prayer: Lord, we want to trust that only you are capable of giving us hope in discouragement, and strength to face trials and conflicts. Amen.

SI NO FUESE POR DIOS...

Mateo 10:16

“Si no fuese por mi fe en Dios, que me sostiene y me ama, hubiera llegado a la locura”. Expresiones como estas podemos oír casi a menudo en boca de cualquier hermano.

Las injusticias y el desorden provocados por algunos hombres o pueblos, han sido y serán motivos de desconcierto para muchos. ¿Por qué? Nosotros mismos a veces no entendemos la pérdida de algún ser querido, las penalidades por las que pueda atravesar nuestro mejor amigo, etc. Sin embargo, Dios nos da la respuesta a través de su eterno mensaje.

Él nos manifiesta que a veces padecen los buenos, porque no es posible hacer distinciones. Amad a vuestros enemigos, bendecid a los que os maldicen, haced bien a los que os aborrecen, y orad por los que os ultrajan y os persiguen; para que seáis hijos de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos, que hace salir el sol sobre malos y buenos, y que hace llover sobre justos e injustos.

En la vida abundan los conflictos. La fe en Dios evita que sucumbamos ante los contratiempos y las pruebas. El Dios en quien confiamos es un Dios vivo, es poderoso para guardarnos sin caída.

 

Oración: Señor, queremos confiar en que sólo tú eres capaz de impartirnos esperanzas en el desaliento, y fortaleza para enfrentar las pruebas y conflictos. Amén.
