Fathers Day

BLESSED ARE THE FATHERS

Acts 5:38-39

I am writing to you fathers…

1 John 2:13 (NIV)

Teachers who have had the opportunity to work with adolescents and young people know  how difficult this task has become. Many  have discipline problems in their classrooms and many have felt their vocation as teachers weakened by a current of rebelliousness and disobedience that young people dress up as modernity

I’m sure you know fathers who say they don’t know what to do with their children. Perhaps you are one of them. Many psychologists offer advice on how to exercise parenting wisely. Our Church invites you this day to reflect on all that the truths, principles and wisdom found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ can do in the life of a young person. Our task begins from the day that little one comes into the world. From that moment on, our example and our greatest effort must prioritize the task of leading him or her in God’s ways.

I hope that on this significant day you can all come together as a family and give thanks to God for the parents and grandparents who preceded you and for the hope you have in the generations that will carry on the best values of your family

 

Prayer:  Loving Father, you who love your children with an eternal love, we pray for the children you have placed in our care. Amen.

Día de los Padres

BENDITOS LOS PADRES

Hechos 5:38-39

Os escribo a vosotros, padres...

1 Juan 2:13

Los maestros que han tenido oportunidad de trabajar con adolescentes y jóvenes saben bien cuán difícil se ha hecho esta tarea. Muchos tienen problemas de disciplina en su aula y muchos han sentido debilitarse su vocación de maestros ante una corriente de rebeldía y desobediencia que los jóvenes visten de modernidad.

Seguro conoces de padres que afirman no saber qué hacer con sus hijos. Quizás usted es uno de ellos. Muchos sicólogos ofrecen consejos para ejercer con sabiduría la paternidad. Nuestra Iglesia te invita en esta día a reflexionar acerca de todo lo que puede hacer en la vida de un joven las verdades, los principios y la sabiduría que encontramos en el Evangelio de Jesucristo. Nuestra tarea comienza desde el día que ese pequeñito llega al mundo. Desde ese instante nuestro ejemplo y esfuerzo mayor debe priorizar la tarea de conducirlo por los caminos de Dios.

Ojalá que en esta día tan significativo puedan todos reunirse como familia y dar gracias  a Dios por los padres y abuelos que  les  precedieron y por la esperanza que tienen en las generaciones que han de continuar los valores mejores de su familia.

 

Oración: Padre amado, tú que amas a tus hijos con amor eterno, te rogamos por los hijos que has puesto bajo nuestro cuidado. Amén.
