Commandment: a precept or an order

When I was young, I used to see my mother get up every day, sit down in a little chair and read the Bible. Then she would go out to the patio and on a little chalkboard, she would write down a verse that she had read.

I didn’t understand the message then, but over the years I realized that this was her simple and modest way of spreading, sharing, and opening minds and hearts in order to bring the Word to all who visited us.

Her message caught on and everyone remembers it as something special and different. That shows us that we can be messengers of the Word of God.

The commandment of the Lord is pure and fills the eyes with light.

 

Prayer: Our Father, teach us to be educators or your message and to rejoice in being your instrument, through your Son, Amen.

Ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.

Mandamiento: Precepto u orden.

En mi infancia veia a mi madre todos los dias levantarse, sentarse en una comadrita y leer la Biblia, después se dirigia al patio y en una pizarrita escribia un versiculo de lo leido.

No entendia el mensaje, pero al cabo de los años me doy cuenta que era su forma sencilla y modesta de divulgar, compartir, abrir mentes y corazones para llevar la Palabra a todos los que nos visitaban.

Su mensaje prendió y todos lo recuerdan como algo especial y diferente. Eso nos muestra podemos ser mensajeros de la Palabra de Dios.

El mandamiento del Señor es puro y llena los ojos de luz.

 

Oración: Padre nuestro, enséñanos a ser educadores de tu mensaje y regocijarnos de ser tu instrumento. Por tu Hijo, amén.
