It is also Jesus’ to rectify
Matthew 15: 21-28
Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith. Your request is granted,” and her daughter was healed that moment. (NIV)
Matthew 15:28
Jesus, as a man of his time, received from his culture the prejudices that they dragged with them as a people to protect the identity of that people above all else. The people around them had to draw his attention to the fact that a woman was screaming to the Son of David for help for her daughter; and his disciples were asking him to put an end to that Gentile who bothered them from a distance. How to give the gift of God to a foreigner!
We do not know exactly at what point in Jesus’ ministry this encounter took place, but this must have left a deep mark on his life, for Jesus was a human being, open to learning, rethinking, extending what was good, crossing barriers; it was not a programmed religious algorithm.
This woman opens his eyes with her authentic faith, a little bit of your good is enough to heal.
Prayer: Thank you Lord, because your love is for all creation, for all people. Thank you because your love extends, reaches us, and heals. May we always learn from you and from those who teach us along the way. Amen.

También es de Jesus rectificar
Mateo 15: 21-28
