Our Search 

Matthew 13: 44-46

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field…

Human life is a constant search; we want to find what is precious for our lives.  As the Gospel tells us in this text the farmer found the treasure and the merchant his pearl. Both searches were successful because they knew what they were looking for!  This is the first step in our search: we need to clearly identify what we wish to find; we need to know what is valuable, what are the true treasures in our lives; otherwise we may find them and not realize it...

The second step consists of making the necessary relinquishments to preserve what was found.  The two men gave up what they had in order to preserve their treasure and their pearl.

We have clarity in what we are looking for: The Kingdom. Are we also aware of what we must give up in order to find it?

"... the search is in us and in the heart of each person", is a verse that Angel Rodriguez gives us in one of his poems. Our searches emerge from the heart where also dwell the surrenders that we have to make to reach the Kingdom. Let us leave behind hatred, selfishness, grudges, everything that prevents us from living in peace, justice, dignity and the fullness of the Kingdom of God. “...

Nuestra búsqueda 

Mateo 13: 44-46

Además, el reino de los cielos es semejante al tesoro escondido en el campo...

La  vida  humana  es  búsqueda  constante;  deseamos  encontrar aquellos que es preciado para nuestras vidas.  Según nos cuenta el evangelio, en este texto el campesino  encontró  el  tesoro  y el comerciante su perla ¡Ambas  búsquedas resultaron porque sabian  lo  que buscaban!  Este es el primer paso en nuestra búsqueda: necesitamos  identificar  con  claridad  aquello  que  deseamos  hallar,  necesitamos  saber  qué es  lo  valioso, cuáles son los tesoros  verdaderos en nuestras vidas; de  lo  contrario podemos  hallarles y no percatarnos.

El segundo paso consiste en hacer las renuncias necesarias  para  preservar lo hallado.  Los  dos hombres se  desprendieron de  lo  que tenian para conservar su tesoro y  su perla.

Nosotros tenemos claridad en  lo  que estamos buscando: El  Reino ¿Acaso también somos conscientes de las renuncias  que debemos hacer al encontrarle?

“... la búsqueda está en nosotros y en el corazón de cada  persona”, es un verso que nos regala Ángel  Rodriguez  en  uno de sus poemas. Nuestras búsquedas emergen del  corazón donde también habitan las renuncias que hemos de  hacer para alcanzar el Reino. Dejemos atrás el odio, el  egoismo, los rencores, todo  lo  que nos impide vivir en la  paz, la justicia, la dignidad y la plenitud del Reinado de  Dios

 

Oración: Jesús,  no permitas  que  nuestros corazones se  confundan, ayúdanos a siempre buscar de ti. Amén.
