SERVE JESUS AND LIFE

Luke 16: 13-15

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. (NIV)

We know that money is important to cover our needs. We often depend on it, say, for example, the basics. For this, a job or some source of income is needed. It provides a series of personal and community possibilities, contributing to dignity. Money must be at our service; but, at the same time, we must take care to love God. We shouldn’t put ourselves at the service of wealth; that is. putting ourselves in a position to endanger our identity and belief. That would risk our health, and, most likely, take us to another place, there to be objects serving another Lord. This is how we serve only ourselves, to the point of wealth being more important than our life.

Jesus always bets on what is just, on what is community, and has invited us with his example and life to follow him, to have him as the center of our lives. Let us always be mindful of our attitudes, let us serve with love, let us include Jesus in all our actions.

 

Prayer: Dear God, we always want to have Jesus as the center of our lives, and to serve him and our brothers and sisters. Amen.

SERVIR A JESUS, A LA VIDA.

Lucas 16: 13-15

Ningún siervo puede servir a dos señores, porque aborreceráa uno y amará al otro, No podéis servir a Dios y a las riquezas

Sabemos que el dinero es importante para cubrir nuestras necesidades. Dependemos muchas veces de este, dígase las básicas, otras y tiempos de descanso, paseos; para ello un trabajo o alguna fuente de ingreso. Brinda una serie de posibilidades personales, y comunitarias, aporta a la dignidad. Debe estar a nuestro servicio. Al mismo tiempo, debemos cuidarnos de amarlo. No deberíamos ponernos a su servicio. Ponernos en disposición de traspasar nuestra identidad, creencia, arriesgar la salud muy posiblemente nos lleve a otro lugar, a ser objetos, sirviendo a otro Señor. Así nos servimos a nosotros mismos, al punto de ser más importante que nuestra vida.

Jesús siempre apuesta por lo justo, por lo comunitario, y nos ha invitado con su camino y vida a seguirle, a tenerle como centro de nuestra vida.

Cuidemos siempre nuestras actitudes, sirvamos con amor, incluyamos a Jesús en todos nuestros pasos.

 

Oración : Amado Dios, queremos siempre tener a Jesús como centro de nuestra vida, servirle, servir a los demás. Ayúdanos en nuestras necesidades. Amén
