COLABORATORS WITH THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Matthew 25: 1-13

The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.  (NIV)

Matthew 25:2

God is always close to each person. We are the people who sometimes, even having a relationship with Him, do not include Him in our daily lives. We leave Him out of our actions. Sometimes we forget to put into practice what we have received from Jesus, when, in our daily lives, we encounter the unexpected and the uncertainty that surprises us from one moment to the next. Often in those moments, we act just with the first thought that comes to mind. We run out to address the matter, without carrying what is necessary. And when we arrive, we realize that we did not bring the license, a stamp, a word, a grain of sand in order to contribute to the life around us, an act and gesture that illuminates. This is how we lose our opportunity to be “light” for others. Thinking about the consequences of arriving at a situation without what is necessary is wasting time. Let us always think about leaving prepared, with oil, which is love, and giving light.

 

Prayer: Good God, help us to always think of you, to walk prepared, to carry what is necessary to be of good and light for those we meet along the way. Amen.

Pero las prudentes tomaron aceite en frascos junto con sus lámparas.

Mateo 25:2

Dios está siempre cerca de cada persona, somos las personas las que a veces, aun teniendo una relación con Él, no le incluimos en nuestro diario vivir, le dejamos fuera de nuestras acciones. En ocasiones olvidamos poner en práctica lo que hemos recibido de Jesús, cuando en nuestra cotidianidad nos encontramos con lo inesperado, con lo incierto que sorprende en el dia, de un momento a otro. Muchas veces en esos instantes actuamos justo con el primer pensamiento que viene a la mente, salimos corriendo al tal asunto, sin llevar lo necesario, y al llegar nos percatamos que no trajimos, el carnet, un sello, una palabra, un granito de arena para aportar a la vida a nuestro alrededor, un gesto que ilumine. Asi perdemos nuestra oportunidad de ser “luz” para otras, otros. Pensar en las consecuencias de llegar a una situación sin lo necesario, es perder tiempo.            Pensemos salir siempre preparados, con aceite, que es el amor, y dar luz.

 

Oración: Dios bueno, ayúdanos a pensarte siempre, a caminar preparados, a llevar lo necesario para ser de bien y luz para quienes encontramos en el camino. Amén
