REAFFIRMING OUR WALK WITH GOD

John 2: 13 -22

The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove  your authority to do all this?”  (NIV)

John 2:18

 “We are the temple of the Spirit of God. Faith is cultivated in us, hope germinates, life sprouts everywhere. The prophets usually used signs and gestures to accompany the message and meaning they wanted to convey or denounce, an element that Jesus also uses. The temple had its own minted currency. And there, at the money changers’ tables, they could exchange foreign coin; and there, the Jews of the diaspora bought animals for sacrifices.

Jesus tells them that there is a way where we find the presence of God for our lives, and that it is not that splendid building, not the Temple, but rather his resurrection, his life.

Without taxes, without sacrifices, without changing our currencies. Jesus shows us the way to reach the presence of God through his resurrection and with our life; in our walk we can get closer and live in relationship with our God.

Taking care of our spirituality is also taking care of our health. Let’s be careful about bartering, never lighten the path.

 

Prayer: God of life, I want to always walk with you, guide my steps, may my faith be sincere, mature, may my life be to please you and serve you. Amen.

REAFIRMANDO NUESTRO CAMINO CON DIOS

Juan 2: 13 -22

Y los judíos respondieron y le dijeron: ¿Qué señal nos muestras, ya que haces esto?

Juan 2:18

Somos el templo del Espiritu de Dios. En nosotros se cultiva la fe, germina la esperanza, brota hacia todos lados la vida. Los profetas usualmente se auxiliaban de señales y gestos, para acompañar el mensaje y sentido que querian compartir o denunciar, elemento que Jesús también utiliza. El templo tenia su propia moneda acuñada. En lasmesas de los cambistas los judios de las diásporas compraban alli los animales para los sacrificios.

Jesús les dice que hay un camino donde encontramos la presencia de Dios para nuestras vidas y que no es dicha edificación espléndida: el Templo, sino su resurrección, su vida.

Sin impuestos, sin sacrificios, sin cambiar nuestras monedas. Para llegar a la presencia de Dios, Jesús nos muestra el camino en su resurrección, y con nuestra vida, en nuestro caminar podemos acercarnos y vivir en relación con nuestro Dios.

Cuidar nuestra espiritualidad, es también cuidar nuestra salud. Cuidémonos de hacer trueques, nunca aligeren el camino.

 

Oración: Dios de la vida, quiero caminar siempre contigo, guia mis pasos, que mi fe sea sincera, madura, que mi vida sea para agradarte y servirte. Amén.
