THERE IS POWER IN JESUS

Mark 1: 21-28

The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.  (NIV)

The present is disturbing. It seems as if not even God himself can handle the evil that prevails and exists in such abundance.

But even in the midst of chaos, rays of hope, lights of life coexist, and it is faith that makes mountains move.

So today, the Scriptures remind us of Jesus’ authority as a teacher and healer. His teaching was powerful, and his actions demonstrated his dominion over evil spirits.

As followers of Jesus, we can trust in his authority to guide and protect us in the midst of difficulties. Jesus has the power to free us, heal us and turn our sadness into joy. We just have to learn his teachings, and fully trust that he has the power to free us from all evil. Therefore, like the people in the synagogue, we must marvel at the greatness of Jesus and follow him with faith and devotion.

 

Prayer: Save us, Jesus, from fears and daily sadness. Give us hope and peace. Give us calm and wisdom today to make this day better than yesterday. Allow us to experience your transforming power in our lives and witness your authority over all things. Amen

HAY PODER EN JESÚS

Marcos 1: 21-28

La gente se admiraba de cómo les enseñaba, porque lo hacía con plena autoridad y no como los maestros de la ley.

Marcos 1: 22

El presente se encuentra inquietante. Pareciera como si, ni Dios mismo, pudiera con el mal que prevalece y existe en abundancia.

Pero aun en medio del caos, coexisten chispas de esperanzas, luces de vida, y es la fe que hace mover las montañas.

Entonces las Escrituras hoy nos recuerda la autoridad de Jesús como Maestro y sanador. Su enseñanza era poderosa y sus acciones demostraban su dominio sobre los espiritus malignos.

Como seguidores de Jesús, podemos confiar en su autoridad para guiarnos y protegernos en medio de las dificultades. Jesús tiene el poder para liberarnos, sanarnos y convertir nuestras tristezas en alegrias. Solo debemos aprender sus enseñanzas, y confiar plenamente que tiene el poder para librarnos de todo mal. Por ello, al igual que las personas en la sinagoga, debemos maravillarnos ante la grandeza de Jesús y seguirlo con fe y devoción.

 

Oración: Sálvanos Jesús, de los miedos, y las tristezas diarias. Devuélvenos la esperanza y la paz. Danos hoy calma y sabiduria para hacer que este dia sea mejor que ayer. Permite que podamos experimentar tu poder transformador en nuestras vidas y ser testigos de tu autoridad sobre todas las cosas. Amén.
