Anniversary of La Fernanda

HERE I AM, LORD!

1 Samuel 3

Jehovah called to Samuel, and he replied, “Here I am, Lord.”  (NIV)

1 Samuel 3:4

When we are called to do a task, most of the time we question whether or not we are suitable for the task. At that time the doubts arrive, the whys, what could or could not happen, the world of possibilities that revolve around the proposal. Why is it so difficult for us to accept from the beginning, to assume the risks, the responsibilities?

Samuel did not hesitate; Samuel had the courage to immediately respond “Here I am.” When will we understand? When will we follow Samuel’s example? When are we going to say “Here I am” for that job we didn’t expect, for that opportunity that has suddenly arisen? When are we going to break down the barriers that prevent us from leaving our comfort zone? Now is the time to say: “Here I am, Lord! Use me as an instrument of peace, of reconciliation, of service!”

 

Prayer: Beloved Father, who frees us from sadness and worries, thank you for your great love, for your infinite mercy. Take our hands. Use us like clay in the potter’s hands. Stay with each one of us and give us your blessing. Amen.

¡AQUÍ ESTOY, SEÑOR!

1 Samuel 3

Jehová llamó a Samuel; y él respondió:” Heme aquí.”

1 Samuel 3:4

Cuando somos llamados o llamadas para hacer alguna tarea, la mayoría de las veces cuestionamos si somos aptos o no para la encomienda. A esa hora llegan las dudas, los porqués, lo que pudiera o no pasar, el mundo de posibilidades que giran en torno a la propuesta. ¿Por qué se nos hace tan difícil aceptar desde un principio, asumir los riesgos, las responsabilidades?

Samuel no dudó, Samuel tuvo la valentía de responder enseguida “ Heme aquí ”. ¿Cuándo nosotros la tendremos? ¿Cuándo vamos a seguir el ejemplo de Samuel? ¿Cuándo vamos a decir “heme aquí” para ese trabajo que no esperábamos, para esa oportunidad que ha surgido de pronto? ¿Cuándo vamos a derribar las barreras que nos impiden salir de la zona de confort? Ahora es tiempo de decir: ¡Aquí estoy, Señor! ¡Úsame como instrumento de paz, de reconciliación, de servicio!

 

Oración: A ti, Padre amado, que nos libras de las tristezas y las preocupaciones, gracias por tu gran amor, por tu misericordia infinita. Toma nuestras manos. Úsanos como el barro en las manos del alfarero. Quédate con cada uno de nosotros y nosotras y danos tu bendición. Amén\
