Anniversary of Getsemaní Church ( Güines)

FOLLOWING JESUS

John 1:43-51

Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

Jesus continued calling his closest disciples until he reached 12, those who would accompany him together with others for three years to the end of his mission.

He chose them as we are now chosen, in order to form his Church and to carry his name to all people. Sometimes we think of the disciples as people distinct from others. But the mystery of salvation made them what they were, in order to create the Church of which we form a part.

Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit continue traveling with his Church. He works miracles every day; he gives us strength to continue in spite of insecurity and shortages. He tells us: Come with me, and live where I live. There is no luxury or waste, only love and confidence. His Church will be firm throughout all time. If you are already a disciple of Jesus, give thanks to God and have faith.

 

Prayer: Divine Spirit, accompany your Church so that its work may bear fruit in works of love and sacrifice. Amen.

Aniversario de la Iglesia Getsemaní ( Güines)

SIGUIENDO A Jesus

Juan 1:43-51

Respondió Natanel y le dijo: Rabí, tu eres el hijo de Dios, tú eres el rey de Israel.

Jesus continta llamando a sus más cercanos discipulos hasta completar 12, los que le acompañaron, junto a otros y otras por tres años hasta dar por terminada su misión.

Él los eligió como somos elegidos ahora, para formar su iglesia y, llevar su nombre a toda la humanidad. A veces pensamos en los discipulos como personas distintas a la demás. Pero el misterio de la salvación hizo de ellos lo que fueron, hasta iniciar una Iglesia de la que formamos parte. Jesucristo y su Santo Espiritu siguen caminando con su Iglesia. Hace milagros cada dia, nos da fuerzas para continuar a pensar de la inseguridad y las escaseces. Él nos dice: vengan conmigo y vean donde vivo. Ahi no hay lujo ni derroches, sino amor y confianza. Su iglesia estará firme por todos los tiempos. Si ya eres discipulo de Jesus, da gracias a Dios y confía.

 

Oración: Espiritu divino, acompaña tu iglesia para que su trabajo fructifique en obras de amor y sacrificio. Amén.
