TOGETHER CONSTRUCTING FAITH

Mark 2: 1-12

Jesus said to him, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” (NIV)

Mark 2:11

How did the paralytic manage to reach Jesus if the crowd was so large that access to him was difficult? The answer is that he was helped by the faith of the four who accompanied him, who did not stay outside waiting, but rather looked for a way to make it possible, together. Jesus, moved by the faith of those who assisted the paralytic, forgave him his sins.

We often feel incapable of doing something, and doubts and fears win us over, but, we must remember that we are not alone. The gospel of Mark invites us to build faith together, to help each other as a community. When we share burdens, they become less heavy. The faith of a group moves mountains.

What can we do for others from our communities? Let us be light in the lives of those around us. It is time to get up, just as the paralytic started to walk.

 

Prayer: Divinity of all times, raise up your people, raise up all nations. We trust you. You are our strength. Thank you for your infinite love. Amen.

CONSTRUYENDO JUNTOS Y JUNTAS LA FE

Marcos 2: 1-12

Jesús le dijo al paralítico: “A ti te digo, levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a tu casa.”

¿Cómo logró el paralítico llegar a Jesús si     era tanta la multitud que el acceso a Él era difícil? Y la respuesta está en que fue ayudado por la fe de los cuatro que lo acompañaban, que no se quedaron afuera esperando, sino que buscaron una manera de hacerlo posible, juntos. Jesús, conmovido por la fe de quienes asistían al paralítico, le perdonó sus pecados.

Muchas veces nos sentimos incapaces de hacer algo y nos ganan las dudas, los miedos; pero, debemos recordar que no estamos solos. El evangelio de Marcos nos invita a construir juntos la fe, a ayudarnos como comunidad. Las cargas, cuando las compartimos, se hacen menos pesadas. La fe de un grupo mueve montañas.

¿Qué podemos hacer por los demás desde nuestras comunidades? Seamos luz en la vida de quienes nos rodean. Es hora de levantarnos, así como echó a andar el paralítico.

 

Oración: Divinidad de todos los tiempos, levanta a tu pueblo, levanta a las naciones todas. En ti confiamos. Tú eres nuestra fortaleza. Gracias por tu infinito amor. Amén.
