FOLLOW THE MASTER

Mark 3: 13-19

Jesus went up on a mountainside and called those to him

Surely an immense emotion can be felt  To be called to serve with much courage and tenacity.

To try to fulfill the mission To be able to preach to others To unite and heal together the bodies or souls in pain, to offer my full life, Lord, and your Love to proclaim.

Jesus goes up the mountain, a place where he often goes to pray, to be close to the presence of the Father, and he calls there and invites the chosen ones to come up. There are 12, a symbolic number that refers to the twelve tribes of Israel. It could be assumed that the group chosen by Jesus is the beginning of the new people of Israel. One would have to imagine how many saw this prophetic symbolic gesture: he had chosen 12 Galileans, who were despicable people for the Jews.

He also calls us very imperfect humans today, like the first 12, and wants to share his power with us; but let us keep in mind that when Jesus calls us, his love obliges us to follow him.

And our discipleship must be manifested in all its dimensions, because sometimes we want consecrated persons to be special; but that alone does not mean that we are Christians. Perhaps we forget to manifest ourselves in a normal way, without so much ego, showing humility and surrender to God and to our neighbor as the Master did. Cultivating the first, “being special” without the second, “humble service.” means forgetting the special consecration carried out by the Lord.

Baptism requires a good examination of both followings, in order to evaluate our degree of belonging to the Lord, today, baptism and now.

 

Prayer: Help us Lord and give us wisdom to be true followers and doers of your Gospel. Amen.

SEGUIR AL MAESTRO

Subió Jesús a una montaña y llamó a los que quiso, los cuales se reunieron con él.

De seguro una emoción Inmensa se puede sentir Ser llamado para servir Con mucho denuedo y tesón. Intentar cumplir la misión Poder a otros predicar Unirnos y juntos sanar.

Los cuerpos o almas en pena Ofrecer mi vida plena Señor, y tu Amor proclamar.

Jesús sube al monte, lugar donde muchas veces va a orar, a estar cerca de la presencia del Padre; y alla llama e invita a subir a los escogidos. Son 12, un número simbólico que muestra referencia a las doce tribus de Israel. Se pudiera asumir que el grupo escogido por Jesús es el inicio del nuevo pueblo de Israel. Habraa que imaginar cómo vieron muchos ese gesto simbólico profético: hab aa escogido a l2 galileos, que era gente despreciable para los judaos.

También hoy nos llama a nosotros, humanos muy imperfectos como los primeros 12, y quiere compartirnos su poder; pero tengamos en cuenta que cuando Jesús nos llama, su amor nos obliga a seguirle.

Y nuestro el seguimiento debe manifestarse en toda su dimensión, porque a veces queremos que sea especial; siendo personas consagradas; y eso sólo no significa que seamos cristianos. Nos olvidamos tal vez de manifestarnos de forma normal, sin tanto ego, mostrando humildad y entrega a Dios y al prójimo como lo hizo el Maestro. Cultivar la primera sin la segunda significa olvidar la separación especial llevada a cabo por el Señor.

Aqua se impone un buen examen de ambos seguimientos, a fin de evaluar nuestro grado de pertenencia al Señor, hoy, aqua y ahora.

 

Oración: Ayúdanos Señor y danos sabiduraa para ser verdaderos seguidores y hacedores de tu Evangelio. Amén.
