TRUE BEAUTY
GALATIANS 5:
22-23
Do not adorn
yourselves outwardly
by braiding your hair and by wearing gold
ornaments,
or
fine clothing, rather let your adornment be
the inner self with the
lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit ,
which is very precious in God’s
sight.

Peter 3:3-4
It’s said that the famous actress Audrey Hepburn was once asked
to share the secret of her beauty. She replied saying, “To have attractive lips,
always speak nice things. To have adorable eyes, always look at the best in
people. For a slim figure, share your food with those suffering hunger. For beautiful
hair, have a child run their little fingers through it at least once a day. To
stay elegant, walk with the certainty that you’re never alone.
“People, more so than things, have the right to be renewed, revitalized,
restored, and redeemed. Never reject or spurn anyone. Remember if you need a
friendly hand you’ll find it at the end of each of your arms. With time and
maturity you’ll discover that you have two hands: one to help yourself with,
and the other to help others. A woman’s beauty isn’t her figure, in the clothes
she wears, or in the way her hair is arranged. A woman’s beauty has to be
perceived in her eyes, because they are the door to her soul, the place where
love resides. A woman’s beauty isn’t superficial. A woman’s true beauty is
reflected in her soul, in the goodness with which she expresses love and the
passion she demonstrates. A woman’s beauty increases with the passing of time.”
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the
marvelous example that is often given to us by those from whom we least expect
it. May each of life’s opportunities permit us to serve others. Amen.

Gálatas 5:22-23
Que la belleza de ustedes
no dependa de lo externo…,
sino de lo interno,
del corazón, de la belleza incorruptible
de un espíritu
cariñoso y sereno, pues este tipo de belleza
es muy valorada por
Dios.

Cuentan que en cierta ocasión le pidieron a la famosa actriz Audrey Hepburn, que compartiera los secretos
de su belleza. A lo cual ella contestó: “Para tener unos labios atractivos, dí siempre palabras amables. Para tener ojos adorables, mira siempre las cosas
buenas de la gente. Para una figura esbelta, comparte tu comida con los que
padecen de hambre. Para tener un pelo lindo, permite que un niño o niña pase
sus deditos por él por lo menos una vez al día. Para mantener la elegancia,
camina con la certeza de que nunca estás sola. Gente, más que las cosas, tiene
derecho a ser restablecida, revivida, reivindicada y redimida; Nunca rechaces
ni deseches a nadie. Recuerda, si necesitas una mano amiga, la encontrarás en
el extremo de cada uno de tus brazos. Con el tiempo y la madurez, descubrirás que
tienes dos manos: una para ayudarte a ti misma y la otra para ayudarle a los
demás. La belleza de una mujer no está en su figura, en la ropa que viste o en
la forma como se peina. La belleza de una mujer tiene que ser vista en sus
ojos, porque son la puerta de su alma, el lugar donde habita el amor. La
belleza de una mujer no está en la moda
superficial. La verdadera belleza de una mujer se refleja en su alma. En la
bondad con la que da amor y en la pasión que demuestra. La belleza de una mujer crece con el pasar de los años.”
Oración: Gracias Señor, por el
maravilloso ejemplo que muchas veces nos dan las personas que no esperamos lo
hagan. Permítenos encontrar en cada oportunidad de la vida, un momento de
servir a los demás. Amén.
