LET US FEEL PEACE

NUMBERS 6: 22- 27

The LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.

   Numbers 6:26

What is peace? The dictionary says that peace is abundance, good relationships, well-being, and security.  The truth is that no word can express the entire meaning of that state which reaches our spirit when we feel peace.

We need to ask ourselves two questions.  First, where do we seek peace? Many look for it in material well-being, in financial security, in marriage, in recognition or personal success and many other desires.  What is most certain is that none of these things assures peace.

The second question is:  Where can we find peace? In John 14:27 Jesus tells his disciples: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  The peace of Jesus is not like any other peace.

Let us search for peace in the intimate communion with our Savior.  Let us fill ourselves with that peace which is not lost when facing difficulties. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.  Let us seek the peace of Christ. He will guide us to become warriors for peace.

Prayer: God of peace, fill us with that peace that you alone can give and grant that we may be promoters of peace within our families, in the community where we live, in the Church and in society. Through Jesus, our prince of peace. Amen.

SINTAMOS LA PAZ

NÚMEROS 6: 22- 27

Que el Señor te mire con amor y te conceda la paz.

   Números 6: 26

¿Qué es la paz? El Diccionario  dice que paz es plenitud, buenas relaciones, bienestar, seguridad. En realidad ninguna palabra puede expresar todo el significado de ese estado que alcanza  nuestro espíritu cuando sentimos paz.

Hay dos preguntas que debemos hacernos. Primero, ¿dónde buscamos la paz? Muchos la buscan en el bienestar material, en la seguridad económica, en la pareja, en el reconocimiento o el éxito personal  y otros muchos anhelos. Lo más seguro es que ninguna de esas cosas asegura la paz.

La segunda pregunta es: ¿Dónde encontrar la paz? En Juan 14: 27 Jesús  les dice a sus discípulos:  Les dejo mi paz. Les doy mi paz, pero no la doy como la dan los que son del mundo. No se angustien ni tengan miedo.  No es cualquier paz, es la paz de Jesús. 

Busquemos la paz en la comunión íntima con nuestro Salvador.  Llenémonos de esa paz, que no se pierde ante las dificultades.

Esa paz no es un bien para ser guardado,  cuando nos inunda se transforma en una fuerza que nos estimula a actuar, a ser promotores de ella. Dichosos los que trabajan por la paz porque Dios los llamará sus hijos

Busquemos la paz en Cristo, El nos guiará a ser luchadores  por la paz.

Oración: Dios de paz,  llénanos de esa paz que Tú sólo puedes dar y permite que seamos promotores de paz en la familia, en la comunidad donde vivimos, en la Iglesia y en la sociedad. Por Jesús, nuestro príncipe de paz. Amén.
