THANKS TO GOD FOR LIFE

2 CORINTHIANS 4:15

But thanks be to God!

He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV)

1 Corinthians 15:57

My grandmother always says that one of the greatest virtues of a human being is to be grateful. When we express our gratitude, we recognize that life is a marvelous gift from God and we should live it to please Him, serve Him, and follow His pathways. Expressing our thanks makes us recognize all God’s gifts: family, friends, our work, daily food, even the air we breathe.

Gratitude to God and our neighbor is not only expressed in words. Our daily witness must express how grateful we are for life, for the everyday triumphs and Jesus’ faithful presence in all of our defeats. We don’t waste the minutes of our existence complaining about what we don’t have, or living a selfish and mean-minded life. Let’s be grateful people and offer our lives to God with authentic and genuine witness.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for my life. Help me to live it aware of your wonders and serving you and my neighbor. Amen.

GRACIAS A DIOS POR LA VIDA

2 CORINTIOS 4:15

Mas gracias sean dadas a Dios,

que nos da la victoria por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

1 Corintios 15:57

Mi abuela siempre dice que una de las mayores virtudes que puede acompañar al ser humano es el ser agradecido. Cuando expresamos nuestra gratitud, reconocemos que la vida es un regalo maravilloso de Dios y debemos vivirla con el propósito de agradarle, servirle y transitar sus caminos. El agradecimiento nos hace receptivos a tantas dádivas que Dios nos da: la familia, los amigos, nuestro trabajo, el alimento diario, incluso el aire que respiramos.

La gratitud a Dios y al prójimo no solo se expresa en palabras. Nuestro testimonio diario debe expresar cuán agradecidos estamos por la vida, por las victorias cotidianas y el acompañamiento fiel de Jesús en medio de cada derrota. No desechemos los minutos de nuestra existencia quejándonos por lo que nos falta o viviendo una vida egoísta y mezquina. Seamos personas agradecidas y ofrendemos nuestras vidas a Dios con un testimonio auténtico, genuino.

Oración: Gracias te doy Señor, por mi vida. Permite que pueda vivir consciente de tus maravillas amando y sirviendo  a ti y al prójimo. Amén.
