PREPARING FOR THE CONQUEST

JosHUA 1

I’ve commanded you to be brave and strong, haven’t I?

Don’t be alarmed or terrified,

because the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9 (CEB)

Many people think that prosperity and success come from having power, money, personal contacts and an insatiable wish to get ahead.

But the strategy for success that God taught Joshua contradicts these criteria.  He told him that to prosper one should:

--be strong and brave because the work that lay ahead of him was not going to be easy.

--obey the law of God.

--constantly read and study the book of the law, which is the Word of God.

Therefore, all who consider themselves to be a good Christian, to be successful, should continue to follow the advice that God gave to Joshua. 

It is possible to not succeed according to the world’s norms, but to succeed in the eyes of God and in the opinion of the Lord lasts forever.

Prayer:  Loving Father, permit us, as your sons and daughters, to be able to obey your Word and fulfill your will, not ours.  Amen.

PREPARATIVOS PARA LA CONQUISTA

JosuÉ 1

Mira que te mando que te esfuerces y seas valiente,

no temas, ni desmayes, porque Jehová tu Dios,

estará contigo en donde quiera que vayas.

Josué 1:9

Muchas personas piensan que la prosperidad y el éxito provienen de tener poder, dinero, contactos personales y un inexorable deseo de avanzar.

Pero la estrategia para el éxito que Dios le enseñó a Josué contradice tales criterios. Él le dijo que para prosperar debía:

- Ser fuerte y valiente porque la tarea que le esperaba no era fácil.

- Obedecer la Ley de Dios.

- Constantemente leer y estudiar el libro de la ley, que es la palabra de Dios.

Por eso, todo aquel que se considere un buen cristiano, para tener éxito, siga los consejos que Dios le dio a Josué.

Es posible que no triunfe según las normas del mundo, pero triunfará ante los ojos de Dios y la opinión del Señor dura para siempre.

Oración: Padre amado permite que como tus hijos e hijas, podamos obedecer tu palabra y cumplir tu voluntad, no la nuestra. Amen
