GOD’S PLAN IS HIGHER

Genesis 45:1-15

And now do not be distressed, or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.

Genesis 45:5

            It’s not easy to understand God’s plan for our lives for: as the heavens are high above the earth, so are the Lord’s paths higher than ours. But Joseph could understand God’s plan for his life. Perhaps it wasn’t easy at first. When he saw himself despised by his brothers, mistreated and overcome, when later he suffered in Egypt until he was imprisoned, perhaps he couldn’t explain why he had to suffer all that. But then he had understood. On meeting his brothers, he said only: God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth.

            Joseph suffered because God had plans for him, and he later enjoyed serving the Lord in his plans.

            When there is something in our lives that we don’t understand, perhaps pain and suffering, let’s think that the Lord has plans that we don’t know of and that our part is to try to understand and trust in the Lord.

 

Prayer: Help me, my good God, to always see farther in order to understand your plans in my life, in Christ’s name. Amen.

EL PLAN DE DIOS ES MAS ALTO

Génesis 45:1-15

...por favor, no se aflijan ni se enojen con ustedes mismos por haberme vendido, pues Dios me mandó antes que a ustedes para salvar vidas.

Génesis 45:5

            No es fácil entender el plan de Dios en nuestras vidas porque: como son  más altos los cielos que la tierra, así son los caminos del Señor má s altos que los nuestros. Pero José sí pudo entender el plan de Dios para su vida. Tal vez al principio no fue así. Cuando se vio despreciado por sus hermanos, maltratado y vencido, cuando sufrió después en Egipto hasta ser puesto en la cárcel, tal vez no podía explicarse por qué tenía que sufrir todo aquello.  Pero ahora lo había comprendido. Al encontrarse con sus hermanos, solamente les dice: fue Dios quien me envío acá para preservación de vida.

            José sufrió porque Dios tenía planes con él, y él después se gozó sirviendo al Señor en sus planes.

            Cuando haya algo en nuestras vidas que no entendamos, tal vez dolor y sufrimiento, pensemos que el Señor tiene planes que nosotros no conocemos y que nuestra parte es tratar de entenderlos y confiar enteramente en Él.

 

 

Oración: Mi buen Dios, ayúdame a ver más allá siempre para entender tus planes en mi vida. Por Cristo, amén.
